I may need to check in with Deeptech and see about getting one. Thanks
Yes the Rutus still has me intrigued for sure. Not sure I'd want to be a first adopter since its a new release and over seas.Ill give it a few months first.

You'll notice the guy doing the test in first post started with bent iron and large nails and quarter. As he added more nails he went down in nail size.Didnt stay the same size or go up in size.
Not discrediting the test it's very good. And acts like a analong machine and especially one with a Concentric search coil and a high Freq . Tejon comes to mind!! Higher freq's and Conce

Looks like the coins are being moved through this website.
Yeah some of the stories at times involving loot is head scratching.
It was on his land with a tractor???Not on someone else's with a detector.
Never know

Rick I think the multi tones in Digital are nice for sure like XP/Mak offer but a true mono tone analog can speak volumes. And the Deeptech's with tones in analog to me is even better than digital multi. So analog st

thanks fellas!
Yeah it doesn't take the most expensive machine to make the best finds.
It takes a unit that is intelligent audibly even if it's just one tone..The true Blendy Bleedy machine if there ever was one is the 1236 X2.
People easily can become too obsessed with price Vs Performance.Or the newest is the greatest.
It takes intelligent audio and whatever that may co

I really want to get hold of one.
And yes a Mixed mode done right is as deep as we are going to ever get in a VLF unit.
Proper mixed mode has always been a game changer for real depthNow a mixed mode in Multi so a person can run in bad soil and wet salt will be tremendous..
And yes the key is being able to control the sens of each channel for optimal usability concerning the deep stuff.

You can make your own Rick.
Get hold of a piece of brown plastic or use a old brown Tesoro coil cover. Cut it to fit and measure and drill two holes in it. to align woith factor case holes.
Get a pack of these
Good to go

Sounds good NINO!!
The 'mixed mode' on the Alter 71 is the closest thing to a lightweight nautilus 'Dual Mode' I've found in sound and performance.
Alter 71 is very deep.
Cant wait to see what you say about this new one.I'm looking to spend my money somewhere on a new unit and this pops up !!

4-40khz and Multi.
Sounds great. RUTUS makes a great deep machine.
Seems to have a I.P address so updates may be as easy as connecting to net with no cables or computer needed for updating.??
That's one thing that gets me abut Detectors updating.theres no need to download program then connect to detector over a cable while having to use software.every gadget now days updates w

Hey Mark makes sense!!
That or get a Tarsacci!
All joking aside a Tarsacci would probably open your eyes in that smelt once you dialed it in.its the closest thing to a discriminating P.I. type performance we have. It's a true bridge machine.

Anyone on here had any luck on the run off snow melt in California?
It makes sense that much snow melting and tons of rain is bound to strip mine those mtn's.

Hey Wayne yeah looks good for sure .
Here's something that caught my eye .
Pulse can go down to 7us.ought to be great on small beach gold if mineral will allow it to go that low .
Also pulse with disc is a game changer IF it works.
It's like it can really see in nails better than a VLF by P.I. nature .Fisher is calling it ZTS Zero Target Separation.

Lots of machines spit and sputter or even blast on iron yet STILL unmask audibly well, but if the machine doesn't have enough audio intelligence it's a nightmare to use in iron.
Nuanced audio is very important and sometimes it's not even adaptable or learnable on some machine's audio feeds.
This is why a Vista series or a Nokta or old Tesoros, Deus do so well in iron the

Great machine..I pulled a Spanish 2 reale out of a heavy iron infested site the Bandito missed several times.Found a Colt powder flask with cannons and flags on it in a house site that was hunted hard.
found tons of relics with the 1236 .very good in iron keep silencer off so its bleedy.the good targets will come though the noise of rejected iron.

Usually in a area where a structure once stood.Like a house or barn any wooden structure held together with nails.
There will be iron hit's in the habitation area but when you get to where it becomes machine gun fire it will be the carpet of nail's structure area.
This is also where the goodies are hiding.people stayed mostly around the structures so this is where most of the go
