It would have to be engineered just right...If youre teathered to it via traditional phones, you could potentially knock the unit over and have a drop from 3-4'. (well atleast I would). You'd also have the varying terrain we encounter.

After almost a week Im noticing the pinpoint trigger has a fragile feel and the rubber wants to slide off. May be nothimg but I like to ratchet it down and use the trigger often, not sure how long it will hold up. Overall very happy with performance. Machine definetely has some power. I felt fairly proficient with the audio after the 2nd hunt. Still need time to learn the lower conductor scale.

As someone who builds cell sites, and has to cope with our modern air space effecting performance quite often. I can state the amount of "junk" currently transmitting in our atmosphere is mindblowing, there is limited spectrum that isn't occupied by something (or held hostage by the gov). The big cell mergers are largely happening to acquire spectrum, equipment and infrastructure ga

Cant help but be very intrigued by what they could do in a unit w/a higher end msrp...Somebody needs to give us a fast, lightweight, EMI resitant, high conductor killer. The decider for me on the F19/racer deal was the F19s love for tiny things...I see the benifits w/on edge coins, etc. But I also dont want to chase birdshot...Its said khz isnt as big a factor on diff conductors anymore, yet the

Heck I even hunt in camo or nuetral colors on my own family property. Unless its some kind of hunting season I don't want to be seen. Low profile is important, I've had people see me and stop in the road and just stare. The relics aren't growing back, night hawkers are a big issue here. There are a few idiots who are some of the more active posters on the facebook groups who exclus

Expand VDI's. Big mistep if you want the american market IMO
Either out and out assignable tones for VDI's or put zinc/minie ball type conductors not as a High tone. I believe that certain tabs are just under a zinc and will like high tone in D3 currently. I dont want to watch a screen. I want to use the audio and reference the VDI as needed.
Ive come to appreciate minelab's

Still waiting on mine. The hollow core may have something to do w/Kevins trouble with the falsing when hitting weeds and what not.
Coil stability is an attribute that doesn't get enough press. One of the reasons I've loved the 2 Sef's I've had. The machine/gain are a factor for sure, but you can literally knock weeds down with them and nary a peep.

White's is in a tough spot. Depart from the tried and true metal box layout and they'll alienate many of they're supporters. Come out w/a plastic chassis on a higher end unit and its going to get picked on for being cheap. Stay the course (from a physical perspective) and they'll be increasingly labeled outdated. We keep hearing rumors of staff shakeups, councils of sponsored

Use the etrac a bit more to form you're own opinion. If you're totally new to it the wrist pain may, *may* be due to using you're body in that way for the 1st time. If its something known to be pre existing you may just go for that core.
PS I went through a bout of bad wrist pain as an explorer user last year, rested and hunted w/the neoprene ace bandage for support briefly an

I "may" have been known to slip a close friend some cash and make a purchase on his card. I've started wrapping my machines in camo gun wrap. Did it for the looks and protection, a benifit is they all look the same lol.

Having used an xlt and deus 11" side by side, I can tell the dues was much deeper in disc mode. I feel people underestimate its depth capabilities in the hands of someone with a good ear. Having spent a lot of time on an xlt if u were pulling 12" minis in disc mode you have a very hot one.

That's what I do..Get a 3 pack from northern I like the feel of them and you just toss em after 5-6 hunts. The mechnics gloves wear out

Explorer 2 would make a great choice and complement you're lightweight, high freq, faster swing machines you already have. For someone wanting to deep coin hunt on a budget you cant do any better IMO. I buy/sell machines a quite a bit but my ex 2 will never leave. With a 13"ultimate, pro coil, or 10x12 sef its as deep and smooth a coin shooter as any vlf made.

Dew nailed it. In addition I think the AT pro is a bit better at covering ground. While the early explorers are unmatched for raw depth/accurate ID on high conductors at depth, certain coils like the 13" ultimate and 10x12" help to hit deeper targets harder and smooth out the machine on nails and hot rocks. Both good machines to have in the quiver.

I appreciate his reviews but dont get too hung up on the settings he employs. Different styles and sites obviously, but his settings are often just not getting the best from a machine.

There is a guy in Hanover Va that will tune the coils. I don't remember his name but he's out there. My mentor had a little 3''ish coil that was AMAZING on house sites, looked like a white skoal can. He had a relationship with tyndall and had a scuba machine made years ago, that thing pulled some amazing relics out of a certain creek.

In the last year Ive dug approx 10 copper pennies and one dime at a measured 11" in school lawns that have been mowed for years. The pennies were dug with an explorer 2 10x12 sef. Open disc sense from 26-30. The dime was found w/a whites vx3 in locked all metal/pin point. Disc mode didnt see it.

Improved communication of what the coil is going over at that instant. No more coins sounding like they're a foot wide. More of a minelab wiggle but with faster processing
Reworked ergonomics. A unit that could collapse into itself and fit in a large backpack would be great
New blunt SEF coil like designs
Better ability to lock on VID at depth. The current whites are WORSE than the

Congratulations I know you've been looking for sometime, sounds like you're all set w/coils and all. Look forward to youre reports on that T2, I opted for the racer but the upgrades nearly swayed me.

Whites DFX,Vx3, V3i are can all be looked into non motion and are deep in that mode and versatile for other tasks. Ive put the V3i/Vx3 in pinpoint and hunted and found coins at 12''

Nothing magical for sure, honestly nothing off the top of my head further than a few fringe depth minieballs, indians/wheats that my old machines would have struggled to find in disc mode. I dig alot of deep targets that are often old, but honestly haven't made any of my GREAT finds that deep. None the less, its getting to the point all the known spots have been bombed so hard IF someone co

Thanks guys. Definetely a tough enviroment to say the least. I have a site that was once a dance hall that I will be hunting alot before turkey season and the briars return. The last time I hunted it was years ago and it was virtually unhuntable with my stock coiled DMC. Roofing and thin rotting iron cans everywhere. There has to be silver hiding in there though.

Aside from the obvious large pieces no machine can cope with, do you have an ideal set up or approach for these? I have a few of these post war sites. Pull lots of good items out and have always enjoyed hunting them, but I know there's more there. Other than jar lids most everything non ferrous is a good target. Other than sifters and "dig everything", curious if you have any nugge

I took up jewelry hunting some during weekday evenings some this past year. Like anything its site specific and not for the faint of heart. Ball fields are great, oddly the sidelines of football fields produce really well for me. If you're successful its hard work. You even half to dig those zincolns, I found a 14k 4 gram men's ring right before Christmas that rang up dead on a zinc pen
