Ideal circumstances if you can run PAG (pre amp gain at maximun of 4) and set the other parameters correctly
For the terrian your hunting, a copper penny at 10 inches is about the max for me. ( including 2 inches of turf) I don't expect to get a lot of depth but thats not the goal here, its to cover lots of area in less time. Other detectors can be used for deep silver or sub atomic gol

Got to go with the DFX with a bigfoot coil in parks or sports fields, dry sand or damp, salt beaches, lots of sq. Feet
Covered for the time put in, dead on pinpointing, a coin and jewelry vacuum. So good this coil is banned from seeded

Might as well add my two cents
Many times I have found coins below and in the near proximity to nails, so yes the Bandito does Excell in trashy sites
The Vaquero a close 2nd the Tejon very good also with the small coil.
Quite consistent considering they operate on different frequency's .
Don't forget there is less signal processing in these models ( and most Tessoro's

I've have good luck with the Vaquero in parks with a lot of pull tabs and foil, with a rather quick swing most tabs will
Give a skip scrawling tic sound and that's with nothch just below nickle
setting
where as gold rings will be a solid repeatable sound with a narrow footprint.
A few pull tabs will still come through with a solid sound but that's okay
