It's raining here, so I tested it out in my garage. Concrete, no rebar in the floor. Setup, easy. I hunt relics so mine is simple. 2 tones, tracking on, recovery speed 2, I like to hear the iron, so FE volume is set just a hair below regular volume.
Set the tone break at 0 to try it out 1st when I get to the field, might change. Sens wide open, no EMI problems.
Findings....We all know air

Other than the obvious, Deep Tech having a 2 tone platform, has anyone compared them? The X5 is one I owned a few years ago and I know they have quite a following. I have a Deep Tech Warrior and it seems to be a decent detector although I have not found anything terribly deep with it.

Have used X-Terras since 2004, have 3 70's and 2 705's. Tried the Nox and it was too much for me to handle. Hope this one has autotrac on it. I relic hunt, so 2 tone all metal is all I care about.

Keith made some good points, I'll add some. I have used the X-Terra series detectors since 2005 when they came out, silly me thou, traded some of them for other so-called fantastic deep machines.
I learned thru trying them and selling/trading them back for the X-Terras that I had the perfect machines that I need, just have to have faith and listen to them closer to get the max out of them.

Have heard a release of late march. From what I've seen, they have a little "Tweeking" to do on the design. Performance seems on par with the Ace Series, F-2 and the 60 will be up there with the Whites low end machines. It is NOT waterproof and there is no metal in either the body or shaft. Strictly icons, NO numerical target ID. The detector will fill a low end market that Minela

Keith, My GBSE v29 does the same thing. Maybe that's why I never want to part with it!! It is crazy deep with the Ultimate 13 coil, but has the same separation as the 11" Biaxial does.......Mark

Daniel, I think the NEL coils are very good coils, as far as your question on the stock coils, the NEL's are very EMI resistant, better so than the FT I've seen so far. I have the Sharpshooter and with the hunts I have in with it so far, you can crank up the gain/boost on the T2 LTD to max and hunt very quiet with it. If you have not heard yet, the New 5x10 solid coils are out for the F

And so far I think it gets the same depth as the 11" Biaxial. NEL coils are built really well and the Sharpshooter seems lighter than the Fisher/Tek 5x10 like on the Gold Bug. I have a Hunter 8x12 coming for my uMax Tesoros that I'm going to test out. Stay away from the Xterra NEL's as they are a crapshoot as to if they work or not..................Mark

Getting a proper BP, non EMI Detector is like a crapshoot huh??? Are you saying that yours is dead quiet without the usual chatter the T2 normaly has at max out?
If that's the case, ya better hang on to that one!!!!...........Mark

What frequency does it operate on and will the coils for the G2-Gold Bug work on it? Interesting little machine, don't think it will out perform the Vistas, but the TID numbers are nice..............Mark
