Funny Mike. I actually thought about it after the insurance co. said no one could get glass on the weekend. It woulda been a long slow drive all the way back to home base

Very deep machine even with stock coil. Stick 13” ultimate on it and you’ll dig as deep as the best PI machines do (in mild soil anyway).
I had the same setup/coils for mine and it was all I needed for iron work and depth. Great machine in iron too. Great discriminator. Hot on high and low conductors both.
Simple to use/set up. Wish I still had mine but can’t own/keep em all!

My diggin partner and I waited all week for saturday to arrive with plans to hit the trail early morning and have a full day diggin on some new permissions. It was perfect weather, smooth sailing for the 45 min ride, and we were ahead of sched. by 20 min with great anticipation/optimism of what the day would bring!

If you have the impact but don’t need the waterproof feature of the multi kruzer then you’re not missing anything really. You actually lose a few modes that the impact has. It actually only has 6 modes compared to impact with 12
Outside of that the only other differences I see are the kruzer is lighter, and the impact runs 5 14 and 20 kHz VS the kruzer with 5 14 and 19 kHz.

Funny. Delayed target response. Guy swings over target and you don’t hear the beep until he’s almost on the back swing.
I’ve seen vids of that machine hitting extreme depths but the reactivity speed looks to be lacking big time.
Don’t think I’d spend what they want for one of those

Thanks Rover61 and Welgund. Definitely a great little unit full of spark and love that 2 tone audio/mode for iron sifting for sure
I can also see where Keith says it reminds him of the Tesoro’s — it’s the way the descriminator works/how it acts in the iron. Sorta like the old classic 1, 2, 3 whites too.

Not yet Welgund but I'm gonna order one in the next day or 2 - I hear detector.com has them in stock = must have for water work and anywhere rusty flat iron or rust

I don't have an EQ Steve but from what/how you explain the modes work (other than the Gold mode/s)
I'd say the horseshoe when pushed is how you suspect = it just goes full blown 0 disc but NOT true AM

Okay guys, I took the Kruzer out to the ghost town on it's maiden voyage for a good 4.5 hr hunt yesterday to get used to it/test a few modes & see what I could pull out behind the 2 days of using the Deus out there last weekend. The farmer hasn't plowed/prepped the field for planting yet so everything is as it was last weekend and no new targets have been plowed up VS last weekend.

In more layman's terms,
if a machine has a true threshold based all metal non motion mode and it reports a number/VID while in that mode = the audio itself is running/reporting thru an unfiltered channel but the VID is running thru a disc circuit/channel in order to report the number you're seeing = like on an MXT in mixed/dual mode or like on the Impact and a few others that run sta

Man I love how when he flips that switch over the iron it goes to 2 tones distinctly hitting low on iron and high on the ring but at the same time sees right through the iron and hits the gold and then does the exact same when he sticks the black sand bag over top of both!
Just box it up and get it to market already!

Good straight forward unbiased overall report there Keith
Your assessment mirrors/sums the unit up just like I called it from the get/go =
1: won't replace a Deus/top iron sifter in heavy/nasty iron infested sites
2: best for and excellent unit on the beach/in the saltwater
3: decent all arounder
4: won't replace CTX for modern trash sifting and especial on high conductors

And on the report in the link Rick posted = dude says he's hitting standard size gold rings at 50 centimeters = 19.6" deep with 12" coil!

Thanks guys.
Daniel, it’s always a thrill pulling gold but finding it in historical field sites full of iron where least expected is even better. You’re expecting maybe a beat up button or something to pop out and then you see that gold glittering in the sun and the heart skips a beat/you get a grin a mile wide!

Good deal Daniel.
I picked one up a yr or so back to use when the ground is hard due to summer heat or when semi frozen in colder months and/or when I make it back down to hunt with Keith again up in those mountains but I gotta tell ya,,, I’m in your buddies camp of thinking there because those things are a pain to use/get use to!

Hey all,
been on a 2 day diggin spree in the 1840s - 1940s Ghost Town I've been hunting for 6 yrs now and it's still given stuff up like I've never even touched it!
Many of you'all know I've ran a good 2 dozen machines through this place since finding it 6 yrs back (including) 3 Deus units, 2 CTX's, F19, Racer, Fors Relic, Fors Gold+, ATP, Makro CF, Gold Bug Pr
