I too would like to see it compared to First Texas machines. From what I've seen so far it seems to look and act a whole lot like an FT machine. Surprised I haven't read others mentioning this.

Yeah my T2 goes nuts when using a pinpointer. I've had the same problem with the Garrett and the TRX. Changing frequency on the T2 does help.

Had to be the dumbest play call I've ever seen. Second and goal from the one to win the Super Bowl. Forget Lynch who just picked up 5 yards easily. Let's try a pass. Unbelievable!!!!

Maybe because the water is conductive, but it's not metallic. Of course iron mineralization is metallic. It also seems to me that when dealing with heavy mineralized soil moisture can hinder the detectors ability. Like it amplifies the masking effect of the ground. So I figure the moisture amplifies the signal whether it be the signal from a target or the ground signal itself.

I dig it all, except rusty nails. I don't like rusty nails. I prefer a pulltab over a screwcap, because them screwcaps really try to be coins. I like to dig whatever is there. I guess I'm a coin and relic guy. No beaches around here.

Is there any explanation why yours is working so much better than everyone elses? Is it because it is a new one and not an upgrade? It makes me wonder.

My Garrett lasted less than a year. I loved it when I got it, but really didn't take long for it to start acting funny. Then it just totally went nuts. I ordered a TRX and sent my Garrett in for repair. I got the Garrett back and it still didn't work. I had to send it right back again. I finally got it back and working, but it was way too late. I had found a much better tool in t

I have to agree with everyone on the TRX. I bought one when I had to send in my less than 1 year old Garrett for repair. The TRX is amazingly deeper and I love it. My seven year old uses the Garrett now.
