Seems like a good informative post to me. Looks like a good machine. I like all the knobs instead of digital menu stuff. It is interesting.

Yep those "cheap" Bounty Hunters work very well. My son got the BH Jr for his fifth birthday. It was the first detector I used. The first time we took it to the park found a 1901 V nickel. Still the only V nickel I've dug. My boy will be 7 next month and that little BH got me hooked. Of course now I have detectors that cost a lot more than $60, but that BH found wheat pennies

Sounds like a disappointing purchase. I recently got the Whites TRX and am very happy with it. I only got it because my Garrett crapped out. I think the TRX is better than the PP, but not immensely better like some people claim.

I think they make them plastic to make it lighter weight. If you want a detector made of metal, Whites still makes them. My TDI has the exact same metal box as my Coinmaster 6000 Di S2 hipmount. That's an early 80s machine and a 2009 machine with the same control housing.

I wasn't saying he had any hand in the F19. I'm just thinking of what awesome new machine FT will be working on.

Didn't FT just hire the PI guy from Whites?
