I would love to have a CZ in a lightweight housing. Similar in size to my EQ800, but with the 8" or similar concentric coil for better balance.

George,
I think the Impact has proved itself as very capable. I wasn't a fan of the Impact ergonomics. A friend brought over his pre-production model for me to have a look at and test in the back yard. Uncomfortable in hand. Lots of 'modes' to experiment with. Excellent performer. But I would have been looking at ways to make it more comfortable to use from the git go.

Funny you bring this up.
I was watching this very thing this last week, but with clad dimes.
I was experimenting with some of Tom D's newer Fe2 settings in a known park environment, 3 separate outings, 3 different locations.
Shallow clad 10¢ are right at 25 on my 800 with the 11" coil, but as they get to 4-5-6", start to upscale into high 20's to 30-31; occasionall

Rick,
I think that you and Le Jag should divide the beaches of the world between the two of you and get a head start on everybody else.
Enjoy your Impulse and be sure to check in with us once in awhile. (with pics)

I guess this means that the production release DID start before Christmas 2019. Merry Christmas. Guess that Santa came thru for you.
Holler if you need some company when you do get time for the AQ at the beach. I Would love to have a close up look at it and see how it runs.

Funny you should bring up that thought . . . . I was just thinking the same thing. Style is different though or maybe it's been too long since I've perused his posts.

Dang, I tried to add QTY -1- to my basket (cart), but it wouldn't let me. . . . .
Though I don't live near the ocean, I've been following the Manta / Impulse AQ for years now. It's become so familiar, if feels like I already have one.

Impressive OBN,
There's an added cool factor of tying your research and finds together with the dates. When I experience that, it always gives me that moment of stepping back in time wondering how an item came to be where it was found.
Thanks for the post.

Very Nice Find.
Congrats to you and the Deus.
I had been looking at the Deus for years, very unsure if it would suit me. Picked one up near the end of May. Pushing 2 months now and it has shown it can find stuff. Unexpected good fit for me.

I think Pimento has this right. I have some molds used for casting lead head fishing jigs, musket balls, lead bullets, dive weights and similar. The opening to the mold for each item being cast is cone shaped to help feed the hot lead into the mold. Once an item has been cast a

I think anybody sporting a couple excaliburs, an ATX, a CTX 3030, a TDI, a GPX 4500 or similar are going to be considering an Impulse, just like they've likely been considering an MDT 8000.

Here I thought somebody was announcing they were leaving the forum. . . . . . . GONE. . When it was just an ORX. Don't worry, if you change your mind, they'll make more.

Kevin,
If you're hunting ONLY with CZ's, you're certainly leaving a lot of stuff behind depending on the site. CZ's do their thing really well but are weak in other areas. Find a detector to compliment your Favorite CZ in the places that
you hunt.
Oh, and almost everything out there is lighter and more ergonomic than any of your CZ's. You might like that part.
