I have a pair of original GG and while I do not like them on my Racer I think the main problem is the limiter that cannot be turned off and that is the reason I and others have commented they sound muddy. In all fairness they may be perfect for other machines. They are built very well. Just not a good match in this case in my opinion. Being able to turn off the limiter in the Deep Woods model

Thanks all. I noticed the MARS coils weren't available in the US so I didn't include those initially. I ordered a NEL Tornado for my Omega V6 so we'll see how that works out. I've never really been a fan of large coils but it seems like some of these newer ones are getting positive reviews with respect to low noise and separation. Nothing ventured nothing gained. I probab

It looks like the Detechs are about 1 pound (480g + 50g for the cover) and the NEL about 1.25 pounds (560g - not sure of cover weight). I previously used a NEL Sharpshooter on an Etrac and it was a great quality coil. Not surprisingly a lot of the video reviews are Russian, Ukrainian, etc.

In particular the NEL Tornado, CORS Strike or Detech Ultimate. These are all roughly 13 inches in diameter. I was interested on their performance on Racer/CoRe machines and Tek Omega. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information with these machines. I think the CORS coils are new to the MD party. I wondered how they behaved in a coin hunting park setting concerning depth, trash, EMI.

That Relic really looks like a great machine. I'm leaning toward waiting to see if they will have a Racer packaged version of the Relic. Of course by then they may have the Impact on the way making a decision even harder. C'mon lotto.

$2 in production costs and retail for $700 should provide plenty of margin for the dealers. Maybe a Whites LRL line might be next.

That would be the DR-All-PRO. (I bought an MXT All Pro-not knocking the machine, just the sticker treatment)

I have the usual nail board from Monte. I also put together a setup some others have shown. I thought there was a youtube with it but I couldn't find it. I just used some 2x4 wood with the bottom piece about 14-16 inches long for stability and two more layers of shorter pieces leaving maybe a 3-4 inch gap between them. A coin can be placed on the blocks in the middle with nails on top, o

Did anyone else see this CBS coverage of what Chinese citizens think about Trump? It seems to me CBS should be worried about what people think in the US, not China. This strikes me as just another attack story and something that I personally think is helping build more support for Trump. I have not made up my mind but it is obvious two candidates are not being very well controlled by the rulin

I think my main attraction of Makro and Nokta designs is summed up by Keith "Become comfortable with it..It's not hard to do..Not a lot of tweaking needed to get exceptional results..".
Great job to all testers and Nokta for the Relic, Racer 2, and anything else you might be working on.
Does anyone know where I can download a manual for the Relic? I only see a sales broch

The only thing I can add is I will probably never use a notch feature to avoid tabs since rings can come in anywhere. But it seems every ring or piece of jewelry (gold or silver) has always produced a clean solid repeatable audio hit and consistent VDI if it was shallow enough, IE under 5 inches. That includes checking the target with different coil sweep speeds and from toe to heel sweeps of

I found this link. I' not sure if it is what you wanted but it might work in the long run. I have not found dog tags or traced anyone down for them before. I have helped to return a medal to a family member. I guess dog tags may be a little different.

I got curious about these. It seems the Flir One imager for Android phones has been on backorder for months. For IOS they seem to be available. I also noticed there is a nice unit more like a pocket camera called the Flir C2.

I am really enjoying this election. It gives me a chance to have some discussions with my kids about the candidates platforms that haven't existed in a long time. Like a lot of young people they are have not been engaged in previous elections. They are finally learning how the media controls the message and hides the truth. I don't necessarily like any given one yet, but there is a

Thanks for that description Mike. I thought the GG sounding kind of muffled was just me. I'll have to try the Killer Bs now. My GG phones have spent most of the time in my storage box.

I'm interested to see what sort of conditions it works best for you. IE does it work well in heavy wooded areas versus open bare dirt areas? Great idea and not horribly expensive. The web site mentioned I might find more things to work on around the house so I'm not so sure about getting one for myself.

From what I read Manning's rating for the game was 56.6. Not too bad compared to the worst rating from Ben Roethlisberger of 22.6 for a SB winning QB against Seattle. Defense typically wins the big games. Manning didn't win the game on his own. The Panthers turned over the ball 5 times, 3 from Newton. Something not on camera was Newton doing his dip right before Miller stripped the

I think this will be a great game to watch. Between Newton acting brash like a modern day Joe Namath and the old timer Peyton Manning possibly going out on top, it's interesting.
I think most of the country doesn't realize Manning is the healthiest he has been in a year. He started the season with an injured foot resulting in his lousy play. The injury wasn't made public for

I had a Sharpshutter on an Etrac and loved it for being a nice size between the Minelab coils. I thought it performed as well as the factory coils. NEL was pretty new at the time. I would like to see them produce a few coils with a smooth bottom to help in the weeds. I wonder if the NEL coils will do any better than the factory Makro coils to justify the cost.
