My minelab is SMOKIN! I've been hitting multiple silver almost every time out. Of course, the sites have something to do with it too. Which brings me to my point...
All of my longtime honey holes have been picked pretty darned thin by me over the years. I always manage to squeak out a keeper or two, but, man are signals sparse! I had this entire weekend all lined up - detectingpalooza I

So happy I got the Safari guys!!! I've found silver on every hunt I've been out on so far with the exception of last Sunday - which was a short hunt anyway.
Today was my best outting in a while, got a beautiful condition large cent (only my second - the other one looks like it went through 10 world wars lol) & my first barber with the Safari...a 1906 with no mint mark. Also found

About that meteorite in Russia. Explanation/hypothesis on what caused it to break apart before striking earth.
Some things I just cannot wrap my mind around. Like space being infinity, for starters. NASA said the meteorite was much bigger than first thought...
10,000 tons (yes, 10,000 lol) & hurtled towards our planet at 40,000 miles per hour. Wow!

Thanks for the comments & chiming in, guys!
Everyone on here gave me great help and advice with the 75, so, wanted to provide an update to report progress. Again...
I freely admit the 75 was a good, powerful detector. However, it just wasnt for me mainly due to:
1. VERY finicky unit. I've used that word plenty when describing it, but, it's really the best word that comes to

Suspicions about F75 confirmed
For those of you who have been following this thread, you know that I put about 40 hours on a new F75 over the course of 5 hunts a few weeks back...and found not a single piece of silver. In spots where I've ALWAYS pulled silver with other machines. So...
After experiencing numerous problems with the 75 (EMI, erratic signals, worthless VDI past a few inc

Great find Jim! My lord, you have QUITE a stable of detectors there! Who needs a 401k with all of those, lol. Just curious, what's your favorite detector? Or are they like kids, can't pick a favorite? Lol.

Yeah, I echo the above posters thoughts. I ONLY use a shovel in the woods. You can dig the neatest, most proper plugs using a shovel in a park or similar place, but, I just think it appears god awful. I'd stick to a lesche, garden trowel or probe in busy crowded places

This post is actually about my last 2 hunts. Was a bit too pooped to do a write-up last time, so, doing a "two-in-one".
Took the F75 out to 2 very old spots here in NJ. Both were developed around the mid 1800's or so. Silver is there. Just gotta be patient and work slow. Anywho...
Both hunts were with a buddy of mine who uses the Safari. In the last 2 hunts, he's scored

Today was my third outing with the F75 SE
After hunting hard all day Saturday & Sunday, I awoke a little late (and sore) today. So, only got out for a few hours. Here's the lowdown...
Arrived at my spot, opened my trunk & couldn't believe it...no digger. My buddy accidentally took my lesche with him after getting out of my car yesterday. Oh yeah, forgot my finds/junk pouc

Hey guys, today was my second long hunt with the F75 SE. Went out with a buddy of mine to a few different spots. The spot we really wanted to hit was an old park I researched, but, we got there and it was completely mud & water saturated ground due to the snow melt here in NJ. So, hunted a couple of "oldie but goodie" places I've hit many times before. Made some headway today

Thanks alot for the tips guys! Yes, I have an iphone too, but, I left it in the car so definitely no prob there.
Even though I was in the woods of a park, I spotted a HUGE tower - maybe 10 stories high - about 2,000 yard away or so. Not sure what it was but definitely electrical in nature. Also, there were the transistors on the telephone poles too, but, these were maybe 200 to 300 yards away
