Equinox 800, within a doubt...and without ever seeing/touching one in person 'yet'....
My mind, body, spirit has been completely consumed by the hype machine, lol

Tom, hearing those 'flutey' sounds makes it 'clear' you've definitely got the right tool for the job.
I can see why you've kept your explorer....
But, it certainly looks like you drink too much coffee based on the speed with which you attack those holes, lol

trying to sell your company products 'as being made in America' is antiquated and sad....
that's been passé for a very long time...
time to think about how you're going to survive with the likes of the Equinox and Makro/Nokta offerings....
FT and Garrett seem to have a lock on the low end....
good luck

simple question, doesn't deserve all the cloak and daggers.
as discussed in other MD forums, it seems Minelab won't allow user updates....
I really hope this changes....

Tom says:
"Where no amount of faster-&-smaller (like computers) can change the laws of physics."
but it certainly can (and is) putting more change in my pockets (think G2+), lol
a big part of the "fun" for me in this hobby is trying out new hardware occasionally, especially when the hobby pays for it.
to each his own I guess, dinosaur is correct...

Hey Brandon, was curious if Minelab has distributed Internet based USB updates to testers units?
I would imagine this would be a mandatory feature for all testers so as to be in 'sync', especially those testers who
have units from the onset of prototype testing.

"Amazing actually how fast clad adds up. If we could just get our gov to stop making zinc pennies and paper dollars it would help. Dollar coins are still a rare find here. Regardless I don’t think the metal detector industry will do too well if all we see on forums and Facebook is everybodies clad coins."
very true, interestingly enough I never MD'ed when I lived in the states,

hey steve,
"The U.S. detector market is quite well saturated with product at this point, all chasing a rapidly depleting resource. Does anyone really think recent drop clad coins and tungsten rings will sustain things? All that is left now is for the price war to commence and eventual market consolidation to occur. 2018 is going to be very kind to the pocketbooks of new buyers and very ha
