Sounds good Rick. I have Family in In Encinitas just north of SD less than a mile from the beach. We can meet up and do some hunting together.

The soft volume on my Camo F19 was one of the reasons I left and went with the Racer, Racer 2, Impact, and Multi Kruzer. Each just kept getting better and better for the hunting I do.

LE.JAG You make a good point about possibly seeing a smaller ring at greater depth. I'd be very happy to dig small gold rings at 12". In my case, most of the time the surf is too rough to actually hunt in the water any deeper than about 12". This limits my hunting to the wet sloping sand. As you approach the water it becomes very difficult to dig much more than 12" as the hole

From Tom's numbers I'd say I should have stayed living in FL. I hit the So CAL beaches just a few times a year. Like Tom, My usual hunt is about four hours. I strike gold about every forth time or so and I'd guess that melt value probably would average $125.00 each. 200 hours = about 12 -20 items because sometimes you have a good day with more than one item. My guesstimate would be

I found one square tab that came up 13 but all the other tabs I tested came in between 14 - 17. I guess it depends on what tabs are used the most in your area.

I use the Nickel (dime or penny) trick on my Garrett Pro Pointer but only seldom. Usually I just turn it on and use it. I carry mine upside down in my finds pouch so that the heavy end is inside the pouch keeping it from falling out. With a mercury switch installed (5 minute jog for less than a buck) the PP turns itself off when it goes into the pouch, and turns itself on when you turn it "t

Tom - I really appreciate the time to test and post your findings. Never have been a user of the Exp. but I'm looking forward to receiving the 800 Nox. Thanks!

On the Kruzer you can change the tone breaks and the tone for each section of the VDI scale. For instance: You decide to use 4 Tone mode. You can set the lowest tone, say iron to 15 kHz. You decide to have nickels be your second tone or section and set it for 60 kHz (pretty high). next section (third section based on where you set the tone breaks) is set for zinc pennies and anything else in that

Keith, Thanks for the Video. One question. Where did you get the headphone adapter? My Multi Kruzer didn't come with one. I'm really happy with the Makro wireless headphones but it would be nice to have the ability to use others if needed.
A mention to others that have not bought the Kruzer - The protective boot on the coil cable is not on the production units, and the AA battery hold

Maybe broaden your horizons and check out some of the Makro/Notka forums. There you will find lots of talk about the Kruzers. Some negative but mostly positive. I've had the Racer, Racer 2, and Impact, along with countless others in my 43 years detecting. I now have the Multi kruzer and I'm very happy with it. I'm 6'1" and find the rod plenty long enough.

I sold my G2+ and F19 after getting the Racer 2. The Racer 2 is everything the Tek and fisher are and then some. Racer 2 is better in iron infested sites and just as good or better everywhere else. IMHO.

Tim H - Same story here. I bought the same, Racer, Racer 2, Impact. Only had an issue with the very first Racer coil. Makro (Dilek) had one sent out super quick. Their service is second to none.

I don't know. I've ordered the Multi-Kruzer but The Impact has way more adjustability and features than the Kruzer, like 6 additional modes, headlight, etc. so in other words, the Impact has everything the Kruzer has and more, less the water proofing. Even though I have the Impact, I still have my Racer 2 because there's times I just prefer it to the Impact. I guess I'll find
