I did look them up, but I had never heard of this place before. Just makes me nervous, anyone ever used this outfit?!?

Well said Tom!!
I had hopes for this "new" detector until it has been exposed as another Rip Off!
The idea of the parts coming out of China (like many do!) but assembled here in California gave me some initial hope thinking the quality control would be better.

That "TEST - TEST" post I just made confirmed something I had noticed. In the Followed Topics section there is a e-mail section that has a yes or no choice. Each time a new post is made in a thread you have indicated you want to follow that line changes from Yes to No all on it's own!

I have checked all my settings and e-mail info to see if I had something wrong and everything looks OK.
I am not getting e-mail notification of topics I post in and want to follow. They appear in my list of "Followed Topics"?!?

From another forum it is said these are assembled in Covina, CA., or at least they will be. Parts are made "off shore".
What does it take to get some of these new units field tested in North America?

Loved that story!! And, yes I am old enough to remember who Frankie Lane was!
My wife's uncle used to go up to Reno regularly and she would baby sit for them while they were gone. He paid her in Silver Dollars and she still has some of them!
