Thanks for the general idea, now if targets have their own tuning frequency then is this frequency in pulltabs, nickels, gold very close? If not then why do they read the same often?? ok read againthe above post.

I had a used Sunray probe that was maybe 20 years old very reliable and good depth and was still working when sold it to buy some other items.

Vintage coins have no interest in clad, what sport is there in finding clad, but to each their own. HH

How does frequency work in regards to finding targets? thanks

In the summer I ride my motorcycle more then detect, what basic detector that is light could you advise to buy if placing in a backpack? thanks
It would be used mainly for coin hunting no beach. HH
I sometimes ride off the beaten path and may come across a few hunt sites here and there.. my main focus is light weight basic model since location is 99% of detecting.

If coin is collectable cleaning as usual will do more harm then good, reduces value greatly.
Even silver dipping will eventually dull silver coins, best left to the pro's if cleaning is needed..

Kemper I think many in the hobby do not want to see shovels near public parks and especially near groomed grass, it just looks bad on the hobby.
I know the shovel may do a good job when turf is replaced but it just looks bad...don't use a shovel in parks, my 2 cents.
In fact if a park looks especially well groomed just leave it and pick other spots. Even diggers that look like weapons s

It is dangerous to use your real name and contacts on a public forum for obvious reasons, I would like to suggest if a donation button with pay pal could be added, unless there already? I would gladly donate to help with expenses. Many forums have a donation button.

Not sure one way or other, but the seller has a long positive feedback. and likely has done some research before posting,it's not easy getting a 100% feedback on Ebay with so many fickle buyers... HH
remember Ebay gives instant refund if listing is not as described or any reason really buyers have no worry of loosing money in most cases

All depends on the model, at present one is too heavy, it works fine as most work fine, you may not like digging pulltabs but they are the same technical reading as a nickel or gold ring the conundrum of detecting. HH

Yes agree 8 to 9 is fairly deep, I'm not sure if hunting after a heavy rain will add another 1 or so but it does add more depth on grass fields for sure.
If any area is fairly free of trash maybe turn the sensitivity/disc notch to find max targets. Your using the detector correct knowing a detector is all that is needed most times before any upgrades.
