Strictly on iPhone and iPad now, so its impossible to update my Deus and Equniox.
Still, very pleased with these original firmware.

Thank you Badger,
The transmitter module you recommend arrived today, picked it off eBay that was quick delivery. No more than a few minutes had it linked with the Minelab wireless headphones, connected with Tarsacci. Works great, not using the WM 08 module. Without the WM 08 module, it’s a simple turn on and go wireless setup with Tarsacci. Can’t wait to use it with the Tarsacci tomorrow

Just ordered the transmitter module Badger, appreciate you attaching a link. I don’t order from Amazon, but I found the same module on eBay.
Will be interesting getting the Tarsacci wireless on audio, can’t wait!
Thanks again,

This is a good DJI drone, the DJI Mavic Pro Platinum has longer flight time over the regular DJI Mavic Pro Drone.
If I was to get a backup to my Mavic 2 Pro, would definitely go with the Mavic Pro Platinum series.
These are great for research, especially having extra flight time.

Hello Badger,
Never entered my hollow head using the WM 08 module with the Tarsacci, I’m so glad you and Gary brought up the subject. I’ll try the WM 08 module with the Tarsacci this weekend, and share here how it sounds.
Thanks so much!

Hello Gary,
Sorry for the slow reply, just seen your post.
I’m using the pigtail, wired to the Equniox headphones. The reason for using the Equniox headset with the Tarsacci, was to take only one set of phones with me to use with both Tarsacci and Equniox. Sorry it sounded like I going wireless with the Tarsacci, never entered my mind going wireless using the WM 08 module with the Tarsac

Congratulations EPL II,
These are terrific finds, especially breaking into the 1700 era!
Are these from a park like grassy terrain area? If they are, truly outstanding finds from a pounded area.
Thanks so much for sharing,
Paul

I hope Derek follows through with the written agreement, I’m sure eventually this will get worked out but it may hurt Derek obtaining permission on future sites or being invited to participate with group sites.

Thanks Tom,
Same here, you’ve always been a contributor to the hobby. Especially, sharing your knowledge and experience with other detectorist and your local community.
Always appreciative to kindness, we’ll have to get out in the future.
have a couple detectors I’d like to show you. Think you’ll be impressed, one is the Tarsacci.
Thanks Tom,

Thanks Ozzie, Steveg and ghound,
Yes, my friend is mostly a park hunter. I’ve taken him on several relic hunts before, both far and local. He recently switched from the Whites V-3i to the Equniox, he’s starting to get the Equniox down.
The site, Auctually I found it about eight years ago. Wasn’t until recently, found more material confirming my research this was a town site. And, supposed

Invited a local friend to a new site, he recently switched to the Equniox and today was his first seated coin find.
He did pretty good, first the powder flask top surfaces. Then the pistol ball, then the seated 1863 S seated half springs out. All within the first hour, boy was he a happy detectorist.
His settings were still at beginner settings, I made some setting changes but with the to

Hello Jim,
The first time I hit an old park with the Tarsacci, dug a deep 10” v-nickel. Can’t remember what else surfaced, was a quick hunt before work but was very impressed getting that deep v-nickel.
Haven’t used it since as a park hunter, but did use the Tarsacci as a relic detector and for fresh water black sand. Unfortunately, right after a took some time off and eventually had knee

Tom,
Another area to check are the roll of pins connecting both boards, get some circuit cleaner and spray these set of pins. Work the pins in and out, letting the cleaner work it’s way into the pin slots. That was an issue I had with older Compass GoldScanner boards, these pins get dirty creating different issues.
If all fails, use the Explorer II for park hunting, and get another de

Hello Tom,
In my case, I could visually see the capacitor was damaged. Replaced it with one similar from a spare Sovereign circuit board, and it worked.
I’m pretty sure yours is probably a capacitor, only way would be using a tester. Unless, you see signs of damage or the capacitor is twisted shorting itself.
Please keep us posted, good luck!

Tom,
I had that same problem but with a GT Sovereign, turns out a Capacitor was damaged while putting both housing pieces together. Yeah, pain to disconnect coil then reconnect to get it going.
Hope you find the problem,

Thank you Tom and Aaron,
I’ll definitely be hitting this site often in the coming months ahead, taken me many years to find it. Fortunately, the settlement is on land the owner allows me and a good friend to detect. This property had four settlements, I’ve located three. What’s remaining is a lost fort, built in 1850.
With the Tarsacci, It’s an impressive piece of equipment. Especia

Got out with the Tarsacci today, a settlement I have been searching for past 12 years. With all the old iron, I knew this had to be the area. Then, Out jumps an 1861 seated half dollar. The half is beat up by plow, still a sight for sore eyes haven’t dug a seated half in ages. The other coin, 1850 seated half dime was dug not too far from this area, Equniox scored this thin piece of silver.

Hello Tom,
Not retired, still have a few years maybe three. That’s funny you mentioning the army cot, I remember staying there about 18-20 years ago. Roaming around the shop remember seeing a bust coin on the work bench, one of your terrific finds.
Looking forward to getting out with you in the near future, I’ll bring a few detectors you probably haven’t tried yet. And we’ll

Thanks for the quick reply, okay I see now you sold the Tarsacci I understand priorities come first.
I’m stil running my Tarsacci, hopefully soon get out more often with it now that my knee is healing. Lately, I’ve been getting more involved with high tech drones for research. It’s incredible how advanced they’ve become, I’m bl

Hey Tom
I’d like to hook up with you maybe even with Brian, at an old park in area run test comparisons and compare signals. I’m running an SE now, must be a hot one not seeing it getting less depth based from others mentioning the SE was the weakest model. I’ll bring the Equniox as well, have done well with it at Parks.
Weather will be cooling down soon, hopefully we can hookup somewher

Very nice, GPX continues to get those signals other detectors will miss. Thought you had a Tarsacci in your stable, could be wrong just remember you having one.
I almost broke out the GPX this past weekend, but decided to wait just had knee surgery and figured better wait another week or so.
Congratulations and appreciate the video, well done!

Hello Rick,
Be careful, I’d hold off until you do research on removing those coil brackets. Plus, you intend to use it in the water which increases drag thus increasing flex.
Years ago, Removed six coil braces from a T-2 11” DD elliptical Bi-Axial coil. It ruined the coil stability was terrible, coil had flex from removing these braces.
Best not to risk it, you can always run it wit

I’ve always favored the AT-Gold over the AT-Pro, Although I enjoyed the AT-Pro both are extremely good detectors but in my area and type of hunting the Gold handles mineralization pretty good. Especially all metal, for fresh water black sand or tougher inland soil.
Never tried the Max model, maybe someday.

Hello Bill,
When I was able to swing the GPX for long periods, for both open terrain relic and iron laced sites. Had very good results, using both elliptical Comander DD coil and 11” DD. This was up in gold county hunting settlements with iron, and down in the valley pre-1850 sites laced with iron. GPX 5000, I don’t think it’s all that different from GPX 4500.
Recently, Had knee surgery.
