indeed thanks elbert =) btw dont get crazy on target discrimination with pi it will never equal a vlf and absolutely not a bbs or fbs , i think the manta has the ability to get rid of iron ( and im not sure about big iron) but that might be it which is already good considering it a pi...

pretty easy decision , you want a md that will do dirt and beach take an equinox , you do only dirt take a deus , you do 20% beach and 80% earth take a deus . if you do 50/50 take an equinox, Deus is better at handling trashy site keep that in mind, you can carry it to very easily in a backpack if you do some trekking or else.

Comment on youtube depend of the community, some are ok some arent.
For metal detecting ,i got a lot of personnal dis on my video , because there alway somebody that will tell you that you dont know how to use this machine and you dont have the right setting , like it was complicated ( im coding web application all day, so setting a md isnt complicated ) .
There are as well some people tha

Everything seem to be fine , but the part that worrying me now is the fact you need time to master despite its simple look (having mastered the tdi sl, xp deus without too much difficulty)
The last time i heard that it was for a nexus standard mp v1 , and let me tell you it was really not performing as marketed on tidal beach, it wasnt performing at all due to the almost impossible to make weird

I have the feeling the biggest opponent of the mdt8000 is the eqx800.
how does it perform against it on wet beach ?
You are talking about mineralised dirt and wet sand but what about regular ground , can you use it here ?
How is the target separation compared to an eqx800 or deus ?
Is the disc and the target recognition comparable to a sovereign or more to an eqx800 (is there iron masking fe

Is this me or some people are confusing this machine with the fisher manta ?
btw this machine will be obviously the one that get on the "market" first, if you decide to make video with your smartphone for exemple i will gladly put it on my youtube channel.
Feel free to pm me for details.
Im like a lot of people willing to put this cash only after a good bunch of review and video o

some a few have hardcoded filter on the deus ( gold field to name one) , but i have a custom program that is deeper than the deep factory so there might not be any filter on this one (not running in the same frequency tho)... could have been the case in the earlier version of the firmware in case if you do duplicate factory program you inherit those filter that what happened in earlier versions

Thehuntergt you are right some folk are against evolution, because they dont understand or master it mostly. Those people arent the evolutive type but not only for metal detecting usualy, they had the same work their whole life doing the same stupid task... you cant believe how much of those type we have in french forums... it has nothing to do with collection or loving vintage.

The tradeoff with the excal and sov with the discrim are stability, if you want to push the sensitivity to the max and still be stable you have to switch in all metal, but at the same sens discrim mode is deeper.
I noticed too on pi the size of the coil is really important for depth more than in vlf at least for my tdi sl.
