Neat site! Thanks for posting! It's interesting that the more I learn about my fellow "Swingers" (don't get excited!) the more I realize that we have, in many cases many OTHER things in common. (Musicians, Weather followers, Techies, History buffs & from what I've observed recently, conservative politics etc...)

Did you know that 1982 and older pennies are made from mostly copper? Of course you did! Did you know that it only takes 146 of them ('82 & earlier) to make ONE POUND of copper? Did you know that as of today, copper is trading at $4.11 per lb.? DO THE MATH! I sure hope your saving those Copper pennies!! ( There worth almost 3 cents each & God only knows what tomorrow may bring!) I

@ Cuniagua - Wow, you got some awesome machines to compare! Just wanted to say good luck with the Disc & pinched nerve! I'm dealing with similar issues & I can't swing my new F75LTD for awhile! As Tom would say - "NO Joy!!"

Y'all certainly gave me great advice on the # of Tones question, how 'bout this one? Does it matter AT ALL when you do a "Fast Grab" to GB the F75? At the beginning of your set-up or after everything else is set or...? (More dumb questions coming!)

Thanks again guys!! Great info & I did take notes! Next, I'll throw a Disc. question or two at you. Seems I'm throwing my questions in the right direction! (Yep, I'll try the mono, 2F & 4Tones but if I can get even close to having the "Ear" I developed in the past, I'll prolly stick to 1 Tone. Something many of you have said in other posts is that the LEAST a

Great point Tom! The ##'s are definitely in the favor of digging foil. (not to mention the Diamonds & other rocks attached to those dainty rings!) There's more to diggin' jewelry than a gram or two of 14K gold!

As a brand new F75LTD owner, I'd love to know (get some advice) on the # of Tones feature. My older White's analog machines were AMAZING as far as telling "trash from treasure" just by listening to that ONE tone! Coins were unmistakeable & so was Iron. The F75 offers 8 options from a single tone to Delta pitch. I guess I want to know if the ONE TONE feature can still be le

Good heavens! we do "Dig Deep" on the factors and variables that effect our success or lack thereof! I've been hunting since about 1978 or so and have dug literally tens of thousands of coins. I've seen Walking liberty Halves at 2" - Wheat pennies on the surface - Dug a 20's Wheatie at 9" in the front yard of an older home and a Buffalo nickle at 3" in the

Great site! I was gonna suggest finding the trash pit but someone beat me to it! Small coil... but someone beat me to it! (Y'all are just too sharp!) I've had the pleasure of hunting a few sites like this when I was younger with my Whites 6000. Found a few goodies but the trash pits produced some great bottles! When I heal (Neck probs.) I'd LUV to help you move those rocks etc... L

Thanks guy's & some good suggestions! That's why I'm on here so much & doing research too. Already got some great sites "supposedly" lined up. A few I pounded in years past & hopefully a CW site or two. SO, prepare for some more of my stupid questions in the weeks (& months) to come!!

Love the Pics! (& the hair!) I had a Pic. of that 77B on my wall when I was about 13 (1978) I think I even dreamed about it! (Don't laugh!) I ended up with a White's 5000 something. I believe those old Compass catalogs used to feature a lady named "Kay Modeling" who had an AMAZING collection of coins & jewelry. THAT'S how often I read those catalogs! Memories! Not

LOL - Y'all shouldn't give the Kc guy's a hard time! Don't they give you a "Treasure Map" with each 'tector purchase? Don't they "Give" you all those quality freebies like that GREAT pinpointer & plastic shovel? I mean come on! Didn't you know if you bought from them, all you gotta do (If you don't have the time to use the treasure m

I have an F75 LTD on the way with 3 coils. The 11" - 10" & the 5" - I know the 11" & the 5" are DD's. Isn't the 10" a Concentric coil? Can some of you hotdogs educate me a little about different Applications for the 10 & 11 incher? I can handle what the 5" is strong in but what about the other two? Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome Lipservice! I was in the exact same boat as you just a week or two ago! My best advice is to poke around on THIS forum! These guys know their machines! I've been out of "Beeping" for about 8 or 9 years now and the Tech. is light years ahead of what I was familiar with. LEARN! Don't make a hasty decision! Some of these guys will tell you I sure asked a lot of stupid que

Heads up! I'm in contact with Fisher. They're seriously looking into these guys. they're supposed to call me back hopefully today after doing there own investigation. AS SOON as I get the bottom line answer, I WILL post it! Between me and you, I "Almost" hope they're bogus! Those prices will really hurt all these great, HELPFUL dealers that are so good to all of us!

Thanks guy's! Yea, it IS a BIG concern for me I admit but I think the deal is just too sweet to pass up! I'm gonna role the dice and hope AND PRAY that they come up 7! I wanted to stick with White's but their new top of the line unit is just overloaded with too many features I don't want or need & the DFX300 comes stock with a truck tire, I mean a TWELVE INCH Coil! SO, wis

@ BuckeyeBrad & go-rebels - Finally, someone making me think I'm not making a bad decision by going with the F75LTD! I've learned a few things over the years and CONFIDENCE in your machine is one of them! I'm getting a great deal on a F75LTD but I'll admit, I was loosing faith in my decision there for a while! Spent more time in the forums & on Youtube & I KNOW I
