Thanks for all the input and advice! I MAY kick myself later but I just got an AMAZING Deal on a F75 LTD with 3 coils! I'd sure have to find a lot of Silver to make up the difference in cost from what I'll be paying to the top of the line ML. Of course I respect Toms (& others) advice, that's an understatement but some deals are too good to pass up! Wish me luck!!

@ seeker41 - Well, I don't know if he has a good reputation or not! Found him on youtube & he's on here as well. Our fon conversation went great & he seems like a good, decent guy! A lot in common & he's willing to really work with me! I HOPE he's just a nice guy! & Yes, it does have the boost mode! It's a Camo unit & about 5 months old, NO Warranty st

I guess the strongest 4 letter word I'll use here is CRAP!! Should this be a major concern for me & does Fisher rake you over the coals if a unit needs repairs? (Owned 4 or 5 White's over the years and NEVER NEEDED A Repair!)

I just turned 46 & been swingin one since 1978 or so. First machine was a Sears "Ted Williams" brand made by White's. Had 4 others since then! I hope and pray we will live in a world "safe" enough to let me hunt till I'm up there with you older guys! Y'all are an inspiration & I wish I could find someone with your experience to hunt with here in Ga.!

Thanks to all you "Smarter than I am" guys, I've narrowed my search to an "Almost" new F75 with THREE Coils! Owner is unsure if warranty is transferable or not. Does anyone know & should I worry if it's not? Lastly, does anyone know what NASA Tom charges to "Tune-up" a detector & do you think that's necessary with a unit only 4 or 5 months old?

WoW! Awesome advice! I knew I came to the right place! NASA Tom suggested A ML for my Georgia ground & what a moron I'd be if I argued with him!! BUT... I just found a deal on a F75 SE with THREE Coils that I'd also be a Moron if I passed it up! (That CZ3D sure looked good too & a couple of others!) Sometimes I think it's better to just shut up & make a decision! That

I've posted this question in different ways on several forums but maybe me being more descriptive will help?
I've swung a White's for years. My fav. was the 6000 di pro SL but I traded "up" for the XLT. I KNOW I need more depth but I've be "Outta it" for a while
and all the new tech. & machines out there are simply confusing to me! Here's what I&

@ NASA-Tom - I can see Stone Mntn. from my house! I will look at the Explorer a little closer but I've heard the T2's "Killer" in my red clay? Not true? (Do you like any White's units Tom?) @ Dan-Pa. I'd actually like to simplify things a good bit! Whites are just loaded down with to much "stuff" for me & with a shoulder issue requiring regular chiropra

Wow, GREAT thread!! I've been debating a T2 OR an Omega 8000 lately & well, my next machine WON'T be an O8!! I'm looking for DEPTH, target separation (Tons of trash) and simplicity! Any suggestions??

I'm brand new here but I'm thinking about trading my XLT for a T2 - T2Ltd or an Omega 8000 - My question is.... I've heard A LOT about "Chatter" or EMI sensitivity issues with these machines. I live in a LARGE Metro area (N. Atlanta Ga.) and am surrounded by well, EVERYTHING! Are these machines going to be a pain in the @#@ in my area or... I'm also wondering how the
