That sounds like a dream come true. When you get it and test it against the other detectors you have. I think the smaller will be the game changer that the nox needs to live up to the multi freq and the adjustments....I like smaller coils six inch is small but for iron hunting it is a great size and Minelab may put more time into the design of the coil and make it really shine. I would think it i

The new update on the deus has updated the XY screen...Has anyone tried a test using say a pull tab, tin, aluminum, foil, and then a gold ring. Does it see the ring differently?
Are any of you using the new deus higher freq coils and find them to work better for relics in or out of iron and finding coins, what do you like about the coils?
Next Deus remark There is a detector from France

It will be interesting to see what is next after the impact. I think the minelab using five freq at a time is a cool idea but they have a ways to go. Have tried the 800 and I like it but at this time no willing to buy one. Looking at the Rutus 71 or maybe get the AT gold that was a great iron hunter but no iron level...I don't hunt until fall so I have time to read what you are all up to and

OK it's minelab...now I really don't like that company. Tom should have said it's my way or the highway unless he gets paid a lot of green

Keith reviewed it and said it was a good machine but didn't seem to be doing cartwheels over it. That is my take on his video. He really liked the Vista Gold Gain in iron and had a lot of great stuff to say about it. He really liked the Impact and a lot of other machines. So from his testing, I would still keep my impact and pass on the 800 until it was tested with a better coil maybe a smal

Why would Minelab have Tom sign a nondisclosure agreement? The detector is selling really well it has been used by many hunters. After the release why would they want to keep him quiet? I would think (A) they don't want him to really review the machine from the inside out and tell us all the good and bad about it. Or ( he didn't really like the way the machine turned out? Is Minelab pro

Tom is a NASA guy he tests and looks at detectors a lot different from some of us The proof of how good a machine is, is to see what it can do for you in the ground, not in the air. And maybe test it up against your best machine on undug targets.. That is how I would test a new machine and if course go to one of your hunted out area and see if it finds some new targets and test it with the machin

Tom really likes the Impact in fact if I read his posts correctly he really feels it is a great machine. He did have a lot of input on it..but yet it is not for everyone and some won't even learn how to use its power.

I think if Tom can write about it, likes and dislikes, he would, so I go to my backup Keith and his review is. It is a good machine but not the best in iron and I run into a lot of iron and you have to hunt it or you won't find some of those masked relics. So from what he tested and my use of the impact I think I'll pass and keep using the impact. It has an all-metal program that is kil

I tested two machines from different companies and was allowed to keep my testers with no strings attached. Did I do it for a free machine...no. I was interested in how our hobby is moving forward with a new machine. In fact when testing the impact I didn't like the machine and had no explanation how the programs were designed. I was way behind the other testers untill I was given more info
