R2 my new Deus Killer ha ha

Got my R2 today. Waited by the window almost all day for FedEx to show. Had enough time to go out and swing at the local trashy park. Anyways was impressed with the way the R2 made it easy to tell a coin amongst all the junk. Didn't have time to play with all the settings. Really love the factory tones.

Well,, I haven't seen anyone bust a gold coin here lately,, just maybe it will be you that does. I can only wish to have some of the places like out west to hunt.

Between you, Lawrenzo, and Old California--- you folks just don't Know how hard it is to have to watch and read about all your hunt stories and finds..

Man that would be sweet to find another gold coin with the R2, ill be trying. U could always come out west and join me. Gonna be a group hunt in May, im sure u would have a blast.

Did your R2 come with the 4.7x5.2 OOR coil too? My R2 did, but I see some others got the new smooth topped 5inch DD coil with theirs. Not sure if there is and real world performance differences between the 2 small coils.

No I bought it separately, the dealer just happened to have a like new used one. Couldn't resist. Can't imagine that there would be any noticeable difference in performance. I thought all the pro packages came with new 5"? That's strange?

My Racer 2 was a pro pack and I got the 4.7x5.2 coil. I don't care though, because that coil performs AWESOME in iron! I nabbed a bunch of keepers with that coil at a site I hit with my CTX3030 and T2SE with its 5inch DD coil.

More likely a Racer killer! Deus' biggest risk is the slow intro of version 4 upgrade. As Lowboy implies, Deus is not going away and has a definite niche along side the Racers. I know Kickindirt was just being cute and using a grabber headline to draw us into viewing his detector porn collection!
