Garrett uses a proprietary protocol, won't work with anything but Garrett.

Geotech,There are numerous people who use the Z Links on numerous FT products according to reports. I just bought the set for my F75??

I meant that a Garrett wireless will only work with Garrett wireless. It won't pair with anything else.

Looking at the EQ............ we now have the cell phone style TID screen, it uses USB for charging, and can use an external charging system. Who can see where this is going? Cell phone apps. Let the hardware costs be on us.... all thats needed is a coil and a waterproof phone. Right now true.... phones very..... but what if a deal was struck with say AT&T for a REAL waterproof phone? Cost to us and THEM would be reduced. They wouldnt have a lot of repairs...... just coil replacement/warranty. Is this really that far off?
