Equinox on the beach
I managed to test the stability on the beach today. Sensitivity 22, which is very high, I walked across dry sand down to the water using “Beach” Multi frequency, with no falsing. I then tried “Park” and “Field” modes. “Park” also works on the beach in multi frequency, but “fields” extra sensitivity makes it false on wet sand.

I like the fact that there is more sensitivity there than the unit can handle. Then you have the ability to hunt on the edge of stability if you so choose. Something many detectors lack.

Expected performance at salt water beach - pretty much like Excal.

Good depth, smooth enough - not great in black sand - not great on small low conductors like charms, chains, white gold....

Nothing is very good at this stuff - neither multifreq VLF’s or current PI’s.

Guys name is Gordon Heritage and lives in England.
He doesn't specify where testing, but I'd suspect salt water.

Could be wrong, though. winking smiley
I suppose you might be able to find a freshwater beach in 'Merrie Olde' if you tried real hard...I'd just think it would be easier to go to the coast.
The absolute furthest you can be from the sea in England is only about 70 miles.

I know who Gordon is..... well respect for sure.

Rick.... was what u expect the machine to do or have u tested it? I have a lot of hopes for this machine..... but in salt wat it is what it is. Hard to beat the xcal..... but we are getting a few advantages. Just going to fit nicely with the xcal and CTX.
