It sure does not have the hype of the Nox. I was going to reply and be negative about it by saying it looks like the same old technology, but then decided that maybe it is a good detector. I'll never have one, but Whites needs a winner.

New age thinking! Lets see how many Tube Subscribers buy it. They changed management awhile back and blew it when their Sport had bugs. My old Blue and Grey will take down any new model. They say the TDI is "Old Technology" Hurts my feelings because allot of time and effort went into the TDI development. We proved it could compete withe the Minelab GP series on the fields in Culpeper Virginia! But a friend of mine helps promote it. I will never turn against a friend! So I wish Whites well. Here is a Quarter Tex, Buttons, Bruce, Ole George etc. to call someone who cares!

Looks like a Treasure Pro pod on the old 6T frame to me? I think the 6T came out about 10 years ago.....

I understand it's the same as the updated MX Sport but not waterproof, it is weather resistant.

I think you are correct as it takes the same coils as my MX Sport. It is just in a lighter package and not waterproof.
