a detector with AI and a net connection coming soon ?

everything else is going AI so why not a tector that calls back to the mothership supercomputer using an advanced algorithm to get an answer about what the target is and should i dig ? it must be due at some time,,prolly from XP in france ...

I still have a problem with dropped calls on my cell. And talk about signal lag!!!! Waiting for a dig response might happen five sweeps later.

One of these days someone will have a detector with a bluetooth connection to your smartphone and an app that uses advanced signal processing and a database to give you a super-detector. Might nor even be that far off. Kinda suprised someone hasn't already tried to harness that fairly powerful computer most of us carry in our pockets every day.

Pretty sure that would obsolete all current multi-frequency detectors !

Honestly I don't think I would invest in a detector with cell phone style electronics, the lifespan I would think would be limited to just a few yrs. Compared to more conventional electronics used in detectors now.

Great, then the government could track where you are detecting!

WELL all I know my Ace detector gives a radio station not in the manual anywhere

I'm bit old school long in the tooth like it simple.....

yup reminds me of all the mostly young people using Facebook to tell everyone about their life....what they had for dinner and socks they wore
