Equinox beach test from Facebook Minelab Metal Detectors

For all those waiting on beach/water hunting details for the EQUINOX, here’s a sneak-peek at a report from one of our field testers in the USA:

“...I grabbed the EQUINOX. Why I didn’t start with it is beside me, but hindsight is 20/20, because targets were popping out left and right where I had hunted earlier. The final count was 5 gold rings, 5 pieces of silver and one Boy Scout ring! It all boiled down to sheer depth and target separation as the sand was deep and the iron bobby pins were thick.....”

More to come from the EQUINOX Field testers! For all those waiting on beach/water hunting details for the EQUINOX, here’s a sneak-peek at a report from one of our field testers in the USA:

If the EQUINOX does as well as the 'testers' are saying, it will pay for itself within hours of turning it on. It's a God send!

"why I didn't start with it is besides me"-----especially since I am a field tester in the US.

Uh Huh.

Next you are going to hear the Equinox found 3 gold rings while it was still in an unopened box.

More goofball negative comments and bizarre political analogies in a thread about the Equinox. Why am I not surprised?

Well that's about as vague and over the top as they could have possibly gotten. Sheesh.

"....Targets popping up left and right from where I hunted earlier..."

Just what detector was used earlier to hunt??

Tells me basically nothing of value.

I agree. I am on the waiting list for the 800, but that type of information only makes it look bad, not good LOL. I went to a beach today and hunted the exact spot that I hunted last week. I found more silver. All that tells me is the beach moves around and unlocks targets that were there, but not found. So which machine is better? The GPX I used last week Or the same GPX I used today? If the Equinox fails it will be told as folklore to generations down the road smiling smiley What I really want to hear is if Minelab is ever going to make a Commander series of coils for the GPX that don't keep dying. (2) 11"DD and (1) 15x12 DD coils just die. Come on Minelab...Make them waterproof and make them last. 2 out of the 3 coils died on dry land hunts, one at the beach but not in the water. Go figure.

You guys that are betting on a come. Please post how this unit performs as quick as you can after you get it. So I can decide if I need one or not. I hope it's a good one. What a circus! But whatcha gonna do if it sucks. You've sold all your other units.

Because, even though you have been registered only a short time, you Already understand that all of us aren't "Kool Aid" drinkers, hence you "aren't surprised".

If that be the case, they make replacement detectors everyday. It ain't that hard to figure out.

Equinox??? What is that a new sand scoop?

But seriously, Minelab, stop dragging your feet. You had years to get this up to spec so let's roll it out.

As for a field report, if I won't be the first to report something, then I will be definitely be the second.

Hit the nail square on the head with that one coinnut.

Beach hunters know conditions change in hours, sometimes minutes. A $3000 unit that hasn't found squat can be out hunted by a $100 unit if the conditions change favorably. When I hear a person went over the same spot on a beach (talking wet sand that has waves covering and uncovering it every 3-4 seconds and in the water....not dry sand) with one detector and found things another did not I just take that with a grain of salt....because its NOT THE SAME SPOT ! It may be the same GPS coordinates, but it's certainly not the same. Wave action changes that spot every 3-4 seconds. Especially in the wet sand and suds.

I am not knocking the new unit.....just smiling when I see/hear posts about how a new unit finds 5 gold rings first time out where others have already hunted.

Lets think about this.........would you have found those targets with an Xcal or CTX in the water? The tester obviously has skills and was using a ML water machine before switching. So this post appears to be saying this machine is BETTER than BBS or FBS...... or at least if this was a fresh water beach its better on a trashy beach. All things being equal in SALT water.......and im betting they will be, then the advantage may come from the near wet sand and dry sand on small gold. So ..... how do we define better?

I don't know what kind of wishful thinking caused you to jump to that conclusion. The initial machine used was not specified. It could have been an Ace 250 for all we know. For that matter, the entire post could be a fabrication or hoax.
Re: Equinox beach test from Facebook Minelab Metal Detectors

It could well be fake news. Come on.... you really think a tester is taking anything but a ML out there to compare it to IN the water? I dont think my conclusions were to far fetched as a water hunter with a couple of hours on a machine.
