Can you update the Impact using a Mac?

I did, using the VMware Fusion application. It is one of several applications available for Mac that simulate a Windows machine.
Boot Camp and CrossOver are free/cheaper alternatives. Most require a copy of Windows software, CrossOver Mac does not. And they offer a free 14 day trial, so you can see if it works for you.

Or you can carry your Impact to a friend who has Windows and update it that way. Doesn't take long...5 minutes?
