Friendly Forum down?

I have not been able to log on to the Friendly forum since last evening. Is anyone else having issues getting on?

Yeah... I haven't been able to get on the forum since yesterday either... not sure what's up...

Me too. Can’t get on. Server not found.

It appears to only affect my computer...... i have no problem with my Iphone getting on.

I finally got on through Google and then once I got on I bookmarked the page replacing the old bookmark and am fine now.

I tried google, yahoo, bing. No help.
I even cleaned out iPad, no help.
Tried laptop same.

Dead to me too since last evening..

Yes, FMDF is temporarily down, but the owner, Vlad, is working on it.

From a more technical perspective. It appears they moved their domain registrar or dns host Tuesday night.

Updated Date: 2018-12-04T22:40:33Z

This new DNS host apparently doesn't have DNS records for metaldetectingforum.com

It was working on cellular and some slower to update DNS networks for a while but eventually even those networks got updated to no where.

Once they get their DNS records entered with their new DNS hosts

Name Server: NS1.VKART.COM
Name Server: NS2.VKART.COM

The site should work again for the masses.

I added 208.115.229.66 metaldetectingforum.com to my host file and it appears there are only 19 users online that still have old DNS to make it to the forum.

Yeah, Vlad is still waiting on a call back from the DNS Support team.

Should be able to get on using normal connection now.
