Ringling Bros. is no longer in business. I don't want to see another " Seal " jumping thru a hoop. Spend some of your own money. You will discover all the mysteries of metal detecting. You might even see the Halo effect. It's 5 o'clock some where.drinking smiley

Someone writing a novel whose main character is named Clee Shea? Purely for medicinal purposes, of course.

When I was a kid, the Clyde Beatty & the Cole Bros Circus came to Phila once a year. One summer I got a job there running the machine gun red star game, no one ever won when I was there. Circus people are whacked and getting over on people is their main goal. Heck of an experience, though.

This is what the world comes to when there's no new detector to talk about.

I loved that red star machine gun. I'd like to buy one.

The boss told me 'if there is even one little tiny piece of red left attached, they don't win. And, he made me push the bent back pieces of red to the front....never had a real winner. Got punched in the face for doing that...it pi$$es people off. lol

I work in an Industry that would not permit using drugs. I have a shot once a day. Sending detectors to someone to test makes little sense to me. Now if you had that person stand on one leg or bark while doing the test that would be of some interest. And if sparks flew out of his arse while doing that test one million views I guarantee.

Hey George,

I was pondering your post, wondering if you have settled on "The One" and therefore would no longer be out dabbling with other detectors for a while. ??

Last I recall, you were quite pleased with the ORX. Is this still the case? If so, I would be interested in your thoughts on it. Thinking of spending some of my own money.

It's not yet 5 o'clock here, but I am wondering if I the Tides gonna reach my chair. thumbs down Enjoy.

Rich,
I still like the ORX allot. Simplicity but expensive. I think this year will see a new wave of affordable, easy to use, lite weight, waterproof high performance detectors. Great for us old guys. I added the 11" x35 coil. The ORX goes deep for those who think that's all that matters. Not me. I like speed to pick thru the iron. It is all I need at this stage of my life in detecting. There will never be the "One" for me. Just the detector of the moment. I live in a parallel universe.
