So, is there any new news about a new Fisher?

Just curious. There was some talk awhile back and was wondering if anything new developed.

From what I have read it seems like maybe in Dec...It would be nice to see it come out in the summer so we can play with it before winter??

Last I heard, FT had a (possible) target date of 12/'12 for a new detector.----They do have a history of release dates getting pushed back though.-----In any case, I (and many others) are waiting to see what comes out of El Paso---should be good!

I think it was about 1978. Fisher was coming out with it's new latest and greatest... A VLF!!!! And it had a TR discriminate. And all the hype!
The Fisher 552D. Man, I had to be the first. So the big dealer back then was that Ke******** mail order place in Florida. You know who I mean.
So it had a release date and I sent a money order to them. Delay after delay. They had me on the hook! About 3 1/2 months later I finally got it.
Twas a great detector and my first Fisher.

I hope the new Fisher is as great now as your 552D was back in it's great day.

And I hope it isn't delayed!

Tom hasn't been one here much lately... usually he testing SOMETHING when he disappears for a bit. I wonder......... Hmmmmmmmmmm???
