Yep,nothing like finding a.gold coin!. I was lucky enough to get a double eagle about 10 years ago. Funny thing is,out here in Cal,Large cents are harder to find than gold coins!

Thats what drives us....always over the next hill.......always remember that dirty subway token same size as a dollar gold coin that had me fooled for a bit....find an old stage stop, old saloon or perhaps a decaying coin purse with other coins and one never knows.....I know one fellow that found two 2 dollar gold coins in one field in Pa....go figger...
Heck I would have strung out that field and hunted it for a month.....

Very rare find.

That's my number-one dream coin, there...a U.S. gold piece...

That is EXACTLY coin I would want to find. Outside of a key date or a hoard, that would be pretty much the pinnacle of finds.
