Scratched meter covering...

Anyone ever remove a scratch or two from the plastic meter covering of a detector...If so inquiring minds would like to know how.....thanks, Dan

Good evening DPa, haven't done a detector
Screen but have repaired fish finder screens
And cd/dvd's to like new surface....
3000 grit wet sand and Meguiar's #10 & #17
Clear plastic cleaner and polish. Can find
These items at automotive paint store. Hope this may help you.

Older unit and not worth the expense. Units I buy new always take precautions but got this on a trade.....Whites had the best idea scratched screen easily replaced for a few buck new meter cover. I guess some of us are anal about what conditions we keep them in and others are not.

I used one of those 'headlight restoration' kits on one. Worked great. It also removed a scratch from the face of a watch I have (plastic face).
