Had another good day in the trash with the CoRe...

Kennedy half, silver quarter and a merc and a few wheats. I'm liking very old street corner and imaginary "not there anymore" sidewalk hunting.

I just clocked right at 100 hrs on the FoRs CoRe and my finds have went through the roof as I've said before in this trash infested area. Here's one of my favorite finds from here from earlier a month or so ago.

Here's a pic of my total with the CoRe most found after about 30 or 40 hours on the machine when I started using DI3.

The proverbial trash bucket lol

Looks like you got your non-smoke and mirrors CoRe unit honed in. Jack when your hunting the old yards what kind of sensitivity are you running in DI2 or DI3???

Running 50 most all the time now. Actually I ran it up for a couple of hunts but it beat the hell out of my ears so back to 50. Depth is not where it's at here. I run DI3 all the time., DI2 would have me standing in virtually one place digging a hole deeper and deeper until I got to the clay layer. Way to many conductive pieces for DI2. I'll wait for more open areas for that trash wise.

I did, he is deceased, no relatives listed at all. I was lucky and got ahold of a 55 yr veteran of the dept that had been in "payroll" all that time. She knew who he was and gave me the specifics. Died in 74, a marine before wearing a badge, fought in WWII and Vietnam.

If you don’t dig it, then how are you going to know what you’re missing!
How can you have your pudding if you don’t eat your meat!

Nice digs. Great story and sounds like a great American who wore that badge. Cant be too many that served in both wars.
