Yes Dilek is very helpful...

The new coils ears are alot thicker and more flexible .. the old coils ears plastic is very for lack of better words potato chip feeling...rigid,stiff,thin but crack easily ...the new coils seem to have some poly in the plastic..

Minor problems for the perfromacne you can get out of the unit....

Still wonder why the Stock racer coil is not built like the Stock CoRe coil???you cant tear that coil up..

Found this on detectorbits site Keith. Looks like it is going to be waterproof to around 9 feet maybe.. The handle color is different in this photo though so maybe not entirely accurate?

What a nice looking machine. I look forward to the specs once released.

Looks really really light and like a Deus (the controller), but better balanced (no electronics in coil.)
The coil looks a bit like a Garrett.

Wonder what the audio sounds like and what the depth is. (A light E-Trac isn't coming, lol)

word is from deteknix is that it is real and "The new full size metal detector is still under trail" - direct from the horses mouth, so to speak -

I'm afraid both the images in this thread are renderings...but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
It's pretty common now to use CAD renderings to generate initial interest in a product while the prototypes are being built, tested, and refined.
(Some companies even continue to use the renderings on packaging, after the product is produced.)

Note that actual CAD renderings are made from the finished 'real' product design files...not arbitrarily drawn up in 'Photoshop'...so it's already a real product as far as the design dimensions go.

At the last company I did work for, the actual product would arrive the same day it was to be shipped out to the distributors.
It made getting actual product photos a real pain...scheduling wise...everytime we made a new model, it was a fire drill in marketing.

Rendering or not? - Maybe the US companies should take that concept and run with it.

FYI I talked to Deteknix about their wireless headphones and wireless adaptors. They had some production problems and they should be available about August 15th. I did not get a price.

It doesn't make sense that these photos or renderings are being leaked unless the machine is close to being released?

Well I like the look of this machine. Hope it is a great water/beach machine at a great price. It would be nice to buy a machine that you do not have to customize the straight shaft or headphones for just to have a machine you can be happy with. I will be watching to see what frequency/frequencies this machine is capable of operating at. I hope you test this one out for everyone Keith. This is the first machine I have seen in a while that reply grabs my attention. Not that I need another detector.

I hope the display is adjustable, pivots on the handle. That vertical display orientation looks like it can get rough on the neck....

If they can make fishfinders with swivel base mounts, shouldn't be difficult to make a similar mount for detectors

Yeah, they should be able to do something. Wish I had that on many a detector. Just make sure it is extremely durable.

I have no idea how this detector will perform. But it is very nice to see a metal detector manufacturer actually use 21st century technology and make a detector compact and ergonomic. Oh I know there are others out there like the Deus, but we are talking water hunting here. Minelab should take notes. Plenty of notes.

It's from China, marked directly from China sold thru the US sales office where they sell the Deteknix pinpointers to all the US detector dealers.
They will not be sold off cheap like other Chinese knock-offs. I think this will be China's move into main stream of manufacturers like White's, Garrett etc.
They know they can charge big bucks now, they are going for it. For those that are worried, there might be a slight issue with warranty and repair, then maybe not.
Many China companies may just replace a defective unit with a new one. Anyways, will be interesting to see how this unit takes hold.

By the way what do I mean cheap? http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/metal-detector-depth-range-gold-finder_60126234567.html?spm=a2700.7724857.35.1.oSDwXm

I would expect deteknix to handle their warranty issues exactly the same way as they have with their fantastic X-Pointer
