Just had a clip come across my phone talking about a new Nox and 700 and 900 series.
On the surface it reminds me of what Fisher did with the F75 tweaking a little bit and rebranding it.
Leading to much confusion and also made the earlier versions pretty much worthless.
I think it even said some of the components wouldn't be compatible , like headphones , that makes no since unles

Has anyone had problems with the faceplate fogging up to the point you can't read the numbers. First time this happened it was in the back of my truck exposed to the Sun.
Today it happened again except I had a cover on the truck bed so it wasn't in direct sunlight.
Again faceplate fogged up to a point where only could read the center number for coin ID ,the perimeter I was totally

Wow thanks for that info. No wonder why I haven't got any other responses. Actually I was posting this for a friend
I have the MDT 8000 and I'm pretty satisfied with its performance. Thank you

Or is there any other of Pi on the market that has some basic discrimination.
And not the mythical Fisher machine that never seems to get released

One thing to add on my coin / trash find with MDT If I remove salt bal and lower ground balance the target would come in at a very bouncy 10 ID also bouncing between high and mid- tone with the audio
Still a possible dig me, but not a must dig.
Tom is there any other machine made currently that has the see-through capability.

Tested the coin and object found with a 75 when I got home. F75 will read trash Target at 16 low foil range the Lincoln will come in at 68.
Using inch and a half piece of wood for spacing with trash Target on top F75 would report low tone 16 ID.
The MDT report a 18 ID two points higher than the 16 ID by itself. Most importantly with a high tone. Must dig.
If I chased the foil Target with F7

More proof of MDT see-through ability. From very small old park that has been hit many times , got a strong signal in the middle of the the grass were many have hunted. Using Tom's high salt positive ground balance settings I crossed the target stopping in my tracks.
Rotating around Target I get high dig me tone 16 - 18 ID Digging down to around 5 inches located with my pinpointer I pull

I just happened to cross a series call Time Team. A group of archaeologists have three days to excavate the site, all of them very old dating back to the BC / AD timeline. I discovered it in season 17 so I got plenty of backing up to do. Many interesting artifacts

Gold coin settings.
Hunting mid 1800s sites were some nice finds have been made including monogram silverware and jewelry.
Plenty of iron , minimum modern trash.
Ground acidic, low mineralized.
Dug many bird tags chasing lower conductors (F75)
Should I invoke salt balance. Positive GB
18k Freq. MDT, Thanks

I looked for the test Garden videos but couldn't find it. I've had the 75 since they came out and have made some great finds with it.
I would not call it a great coin hunter, Relic hunter yes. I would love to try that big coil but wonder how the EMI would react to it.

Tom you are the king of unbiased technical information. Delivered like nobody else. I've been around this forum 10 + years. Pass the word to others, it's not for everybody. I tried to check daily and if you posted it's a must-read.
Keith with a completely different delivery but still get the point across. Down to earth and to the point.
Don't let them cancel you, too muc

MDT coil update question. Any small coils in the works. Now that the 12-inch coil is out and I love it. Any plans for a smaller than stock coil. I Can Only Imagine how Surgical this machine could be with one.

I have pulled three pre 1900 complete Forks out of the ground. I know these are not Banner finds haha. All at 8 plus in deep. One was approximately 10 inches down laying on its side and very thin at that. After clearing out with a shovel and waving over the Dirt Pile I had an iron grunt. Thought the MDT lied to me but checking the whole discovered Target was still down there. I have dug some iron

Let's talk about the modes. Which ones do you like, where and when do you use them. I have just started using the MDT with 12 inch coil. About 15 hours so far. Hunting a well hunted field in disk mode I find it easy to listen to and easy to get on top of the Target. Running Max sensitivity and negative disc I'm finding it relatively easy to grab those soft signals. Especially after usin

Nasa Tom is there any reason you would not use salinity balance when hunting on land. Understanding it can be helpful to navigate through foil or small rust particles. Is there a situation where it would be a detriment. If anyone else wants to had their opinion feel free thanks Mike

While it is stunning that the Tarsacci would Hi-Tone on the dime. It's almost equally stunning that there was approximately 6 and a 1/2 inches between the foil and the dime.

Tom your preliminary write up on the 12 inch coil delivers a huge amount of excitement. I know you will get to it at some point, but I'm dying to hear the results of the performance on a dime in your dirt/test Garden. I hunt ocean as well as land. My dirt is on the mild side any performance gain over the stock coil would definitely seal the deal for me. Thanks Mike

I am reasonably confident they would not produce another coil if it did not make some noticeable gains over stock coil. The big companies might be able to throw stuff out there for the sake of making it. A smaller startup like tarsacci, cannot afford to be wasting their time effort or money on a product that is not a definite Improvement.

I would think in regards to the pi it would be more of a re-release of the AQ. Which they try to release last season with little success. They were supposed to produce approximately 100 of them and I think only about 20 made it out the door. As for a vlf I think that platform has reached its limit. So unless they have something truly new. It would be more of a recycling of existing units.
