With some machines having a iron audio adjustment i.e the Vista Gold , a great idea by the way
What would be the go-to settings. I set most machines to disc out nails . Does that still apply or
disc them in and lower iron volume . ? Thanks Mike

Javelin im just south of you in Mass and have soil on the mild side . The Vista Smart seems to excell in hot soil.
My question is do you have any test garden or other coins you have hit with Vista Relic vs other machine
the are know as deep machines.
I understand the Relic is made for that use, but wondering if it any deeper
on coins than others out there. Thanks Mike

I can run my Gold Bug wide open most of the time with the 13 inch coil with just a little chatter.
Not enough to lower Sens but not quiet like the stock coil,

Steve my Gold Bug SE is one of those.
Running at around 19khz it has a very stable ID
I hit a target with a solid 82 on the ID , after digging over 8 inches a old brass bell pops out.
It had a little rust were the handle attached and read 80 on top of the ground.

I agree with sekypaleo , I find the 13 easy to swing and deeper than stock although i have not hunted as much
as i like this season.
My GB SE can hit a nickle at over 10 inches with 5 X 10 coil and over 11 inches with the 13
with Disc of 30 max Sens . a Merc around 10 inches
If in All Metal i can go off the paper with the 5 x 10 and a nickle, and a easy 13 plus with the 13 inch coil

My oldest silver 1742 1/2 reale , US silver 1842 seated dime.
Oldest copper 1723 Hibernia and 1723 King George.
In the six or seven years i have been hunting.
So far so good.

NE state = slow sink rates and old history, but the slow sink rate means
any average detector could hit most of the coins.
Add lots of heavy hunting and it get a little thin.
Not complaining , just wish i got in 20 or 30 years sooner.
Im in Mass about 35 miles north of Boston with several towns dating to the early 1600s
just minutes away. HH Mike

Fisher does make it more complicated than it needs to be.
When the F75 first came out it was a SE Special Edition.
The name was dropped later and applied to to SE with boost mode.

Dan its a little or a LOT over my head .
It was talked about back when the Garrett came out .
If i recall the F75 would induce a signal into the pinpointer making it hot but not on
Almost like the PP was a dish bouncing it back to the F75.
Hope someone can chime in here.

When the Garrett and F75 were paired up it was shown there was interferance with PP shut OFF.
I keep mine in opposite rear pocket of swing arm.

The star or relic symbol is for lower conductive targets . Hust above what a Nickle would read on most machines.
My 3 cent silver hits on that icon as does a small goldleaf Marine button and other relics.

Just did a quick In the house air test.
At a Sens of 6 it hit about 11 inches on clad dime
With Sens at 8 then 10 still stable but was almost no gain on depth.
With Sens of 4 i lost a good 1 .5 inches.

A few year back ,iread of a city trying to pass the same rule.
Someone brought up the fact that there were city owned golf courses that would
have to fallow the same rule.
Every swing of the club could remove vegetation.
They dropped the wording from the rule.
