I used an Explorer 2 and Explorer SE for pretty much my entire detecting career. Found a lot of great stuff but I got tired of swinging 5 pound detectors. I got a Vanquish coming and I hope to find a lot of cool stuff with that one too. Minelab has been my brand though, I don’t see myself jumping ship anytime soon

That’s my thought too. I wouldn’t bring a detector like the Vanquish into a really infested site. The 540s iron bias adjustment would help but I would suspect it still would

Hey guys, haven’t posted in a long time. Been out of detecting for years but I’m getting interested again.
Been looking at this Vanquish 440 deal for 279 shipped where you get a 100 dollar pinpointer for free. For 90 more I could get a 540 with the same pinpointer. I do know the differences between the two machines but I was hoping for some advice on whether those extra features are wort

Hey guys, trying to sell my Minelab since I'm currently in an extended break from detecting. Great detector for anyone dealing with nasty mineralized dirt. I tried to get into the new and exciting detectors coming in from Europe but FBS seems to be the only thing that has worked for me in a lot of the places I go to.
I have all the pictures loaded up on the Depot, here's a link

Bought from triplehooked a couple weeks ago, used 1 time since then. Great detector, I just prefer Minelabs after so many years of using them. Plus I have an old T2 I could use for unmasking purposes. $675 shipped obo.
Thanks

Hi everyone, I just bought an almost brand new Makro Racer 2 Pro Pack from Triplehooked and I think I want my Minelab again. I'm just too used to it. Plus, I have a T2 LTD as a backup and it does most of what I'd want it to do in the trashy stuff. Would be nice to have 2 very different detectors instead of 2 in the same general family.
I think it would be a pretty even trade - a

Looks like "Alabama Gold Refinery" has a few in stock on eBay.... Incimetaldetectors has some available on Amazon as well. Any others? I'm not buying mine yet, but when is Bart going to get his shipment?

Looks too good to be true, honestly. 42 centimeters is about 16 and a half inches, and they were getting clean repeatable signals. Must be extremely clean ground. Would not be possible in my area.

I don't know about coins, but I found an 1860's era fork from one of the mess halls of a military camp in the Mojave desert.... 13" deep (measured) with a Minelab Explorer SE.

Man, what's up with all the drama on this forum lately? A couple of the threads I've read today involved active pissing matches. Here's another one.

Wouldn't a coil cover on the stock coil do the same thing?

Anybody have any comments about this particular coil? I know it's an "optional coil" that will not be included in the pro-pack. I understand the need for a 5" coil. I am even debating the 15" coil for hopefully more depth and coverage area. The 10x5.5 seems to be pretty specialized. What can this one do that the stock coil couldn't? Is anybody planning to buy t

Thank you for the update, Dilek. The fear was that the Impact was going to come out soon after the Racer, which would make many of us who are considering a Racer purchase in the near future reconsider if it would be worth waiting a little longer for a better detector. Sounds like the Impact is just a concept at this point, with no specifics, and won't be out for quite a while. I see no re

I wouldn't put it past Kellyco to try and knee-cap the competition by leaking this information early to disrupt sales amongst their competitors. The Impact was probably scheduled for release later on this year, but after they saw how crazy people were getting anticipating the Racer release, they pulled this stunt.
If that's what really happened, I'm going to end up getting a

Wow, kellyco really screwed this up for Nokta. They could have sold tons of Racers and then shortly after they could have have announced the Impact to make even more money. Now a bunch of Racers are not going to sell because people are going to wait on the Impact.

From what I understand (someone correct me if I'm wrong), the CoRe's coils are filled with epoxy, the Racers are injection molded. The Racer is about 3 pounds, the CoRe is 3.9 pounds.

A couple years ago, I was almost going to jump back into the detecting hobby, and the Deeptech Vista and Gold detectors were all the rage. Those detectors came and went, and almost nobody is talking about them at this point. Do you think the CoRe/Racer is going to be the same way? Do these have the potential to be relevant for the next couple of years, or will they be forgotten when something
