You can learn a lot about coins on the pcgs website. Don't get your hopes up to high for a gold coin..especially in Maine. I live in Ca,and its probably one of the best areas of the country for a g.c. I found one..1890- s double eagle. Was under a house. I knowof about 30 or so found . Some at demos,a couple during beach erosion, and many at old little known stage stop,or ghost town type areby deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum

Well, that's some nice gold. Is that the same area that is the Georgia gold belt,or is it a seperate area all together?by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
No bad for first time! What state are you in? Oh,and I HIGHLY recommend the gold bug pro..best vlf nuggetshooter I've ever used.by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
ATPro is quickly becoming my go to machine. I've been using it,along with a gbpro at a nail infested site, and cleaning up. Hard to beat in irony sites, and starting to grow on me in ghetto parks. Rayby deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
That's manning up...unfortunately rare nowadays...and yes,Keith is a creditto our hobby.by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum

That's pretty impressiveby deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
My only complaint, is the connector for the coil is set so close to the head that its a birch to line up the pins.and get it hooked up. If you have big hands ,are hung over or have Parkinson's ,forget about it,it will be next too impossible.by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum

Hi Keith,I took your advice and bought the AT pro a few months back. I now rarely take off the small coil. The ground is so hard and dry right now, that I really can't hit my gold camp sites. Last time I did,I about destroyed my Lesche by using it as a chisel and hitting it with a hammer. So I've been using it at some ghetto parks, and once you get use too the tone roll, its killer on findby deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
I've seen that under armor gear, now I'll try it. I'm a roofer,it was 104 today, anything I can do to stay cooler,is good. Thanks!by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Beautiful full half, and nice toning on the love token. Congratulations!!!by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Gotta love it...southern hospitality.by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Yep,coil can make big difference. Never got to try the sef coil before sellingy sov.by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
I haven't followed it that much, since its out of my price range,BUT one of my local buddies,Paul,ca,seemed to love it for water hunting. Also, the one thing the CTX seems to do well,is I.d. coins that are on edge in trash. Another local hunter I know, has found a number of big silver in hard hit areas....most where on edge.by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
BYW,wasn't implying your condition is minor...was actually thinking of someone I knowby deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Right on bud. Your what I consider a real man...too many wussy crybabiesthat go on disability because of a minor inconvenaence...you seem to figure out fthere's a will, there's a way. As far as sharing...I have a couple hunting buddies we share spots, info etc openly with... that takes time and trust . I don't just tell anyone spots, but I will help out any new guy trying to learn thby deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Good luck Ozzie, let us know what you find.by deathray - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
