Yeah, that is what caught my attention, specifically: - Green CHASER: 4.8 Khz
I am really curious how good of a coin machine it is and what depth and separation it gets. Also wonder how the audio is, that seems to often be all

I really loved the Omega 8000 as well. Funny, when I first came out to Germany I almost got a CZ. I wish I would have went that route instead of the Nautilus! Would have made those first few years easier and more productive.
What is Dave working on these days? I would absolutely love to see a suped up Omega like coin machine!
Hasn't he been working on a new CZ for a few years now?

I thought those tones were actually quite smooth sounding. A few broke up a bit consistently (2 I think).
Do you guys find those tones informational like on some other machines?
I know the machine has gotten a lot of flack from people, so I hope Whites sorts it out.

That was a great read. Sad in a big way as many were really so open to Whites putting out a nice machine. I'm sure they will have to re-do this one. At least they got somewhere with the two modes and form factor.
Still hoping White's pulls a rabbit out of their hat...

Yeah, without a doubt, in my moderately minus iron mineralized soil, the Signum was NOTICEABLY deeper

Great video and thanks for sharing. All those videos I made with the E-Trac, very very few had TTF. I did so much testing and just never thought it was what I had read about. I ran a minimal disc on the iron as well. I didn't realize the E-Trac was doing as good as you showed there, but the results didn't lie.
Best,

If gold does ever get to thousands per ounce, counterfeit gold will become a huge problem. Filling gold coins, bars, etc. with Tungsten is going to require some quick tests for the market to not have big problems imo. And I think quick tests will require expensive technology.
And actually, I wonder what percentage of gold already sold is not tungsten filled. I know nothing about counterfeit silv

Hi Keith, very nice report on the audio. Thanks for sharing.
Question - You had the Signum briefly and I don't think it did well in your ground, but did you have a chance to do any depth tests on it in a more neutral ground?
I am very curious how the R2 compares to the Signum depth wise. Air test numbers?

Thanks Possum (and Tom).
But the R2 runs at 14Khz Possum? What did you mean with 7Khz?
And I had the 10" coil on the Signum too (think it measures to 10.5" and runs at 7Khz)
I do like the Signums sounds much more than I did the T2 (which is what the R2 sounds like I believe.)
But the R2 seem to have a much more refined menu, while the Signum had a more raw feel, know what I mean?

How do we know how deep the R2 is? Anything mentioned? I'm curious here as the AKA machines (Signum) are extreme

Thanks again for all that info Sven. The Berkut seems like a really nice machine. I wonder if the Intronik or Signum will be upgraded to have more tones. Give the Flag Ship detector those options! I am one of those that likes the Minelab flutey sound and as I mentioned elsewhere, the Signum's polyphonic mode resembles the E-Tracs sounds some. I enjoyed the Berkut 5's sounds in video (m

Thanks Sven. I just listened to the sounds here at this video I found -
I wonder, are the sounds actually a bit more different than on the Signum. ( I have only used that one and not the Sorex.)
What have you noticed?
I loved the E-Trac sounds but the Signum was also pleasing in Polyphonic but over reacted to iron imo, so I generally ran in ST mode I think it is called.

Hey Sven, nice machine.
What is the main difference between the Berkut and the Signum and Sorrex?
Is the machine more advantageous with the sounds or ?
How does depth compare to the other machines?
I heard it is really a different machine.

Albert

Curious - When did his payments stop? I thought they were for a really long time.

I can't find that post Pimento? Where is that?
But to answer your question, I have not mined in almost 2 years. It was just to take part in the experiment

I'm probably sounding like a recorder at this point, but I am going to sell the machine, so I'll say it again-
The AKA Signum went deeper than my E-Trac and CTX both. The CTX in my ground maxed at around 10" or a bit more. The E-Trac went almost as deep but not on all targets. Both about the same max but CTX wasn't bouncy on the target ID, solid (with that option turned on, f

steveg - I'm not joking. My Signum is noticeably deeper than my E-Trac and CTX was by a solid inch. Maybe more, but would have to come across targets beyond 11", which I have not.
The ID was mostly solid, depending on the iron mineralization. Watch some of my videos. I never used boost mode to find those deepies either. My ground is not exactly clean, there is a fair amount of iron and

I think this has been clearly settled on Gary's forum. They are not going to be 12k.
The Signum is 1k or so, and the Intronik is probably going to be a few hundred more.

Is it possible for any machine with 2 frequencies to have an FBS like screen display with the Co and Fe coordinates?
I really miss that about my E-Trac and CTX and would like to revisit that (but my back doesn't). For now I am using a light Signum as my machine but do miss that fun factor as well as extra information.
Good hunting,

I wonder how good he would be if he had a multi tone machine? Machine with ID? Etc?
If you stick with any one thing long enough, you will become really proficient. I know this musically (and with detectors). I miss that E-Trac as I knew it's language, really well. Not the same with my Signum but she goes deeper and saves the back.
I think in the end though, it is really about having fu

If just 2 makers come out with really portable machines like that (and IF they perform, reasonable cost, etc), look out. Too many hunters are looking for that deep and light performing machine.
