It is only my opinion. but there seems to be a trend within the industry amonst the major manufacturers to deny known issues with new machines and then charge the customer for the fix later on down the road. They must be borrowing the philosphy of of big boy software developers.......let the customers be the beta testers.
The other discouraging behavior is the lack of transparency by the mfg

Got the T2 this past December.......dying to use it.....and try Mike's procedure. Mineralization is pretty heavy in Idaho......the one time I got out for a couple of hours the machine was as chatty & unstable as a methhead..lol

It was from another website if I remember correctly, although the body of the procedure is on this forum under the post "Hey, I recognize that post! That's me!" If you do a search for it, remove the quotation marks.

Hi Mike,
A previous post of yours "Have you figured out that the T2 has 2 levels of zero discrimination?", you give instructions for achieving stable setups. My question is.......is the machine ground balanced prior to doing this procedure or after? And what type of balancing do you prefer with this procedure..Fast Grab or Manual?
Thanks
p.s. Would you post that article in its

I will dust off and polish my ratio mathematics skills. Research the existing posts.......and make the crossover application.
However, I still would like to know if the percentage of gain applies to the F75 as disc is increased, as I outlined in my original question. Provided that does not infringe on any disclosure agreements.

do you remember what the Fe3O4 reading was on that red clay? Was the F75 in the default mode or the boost mode? The Fe3O4 in my soil here runs .3 (heavy mineralization). The weather here has kept me from trying out the 5" coil but I would like to get a ballpark idea of the depth capabilities of this coil in heavy mineralization. Thanks.

I called First Texas yesterday and was informed that the coil has no center 'sweet spot' when pinpointing. I don't think that is correct. Can someone verify if the 5" coil has a center 'sweet' spot when pinpointing and where is it located on the coil?

If the gain/disc settings on the F75 using a mathematical conversion adjustment to the T2 is applicable I would appreciate the info. I don't know how much of the hardware/software on the two units are exactly the same, but you would.

Tom D. or anyone else extremely knowledgeable in this area.
Has anyone analyzed the degree of gain (as in percentage) that the different disc settings provide. The best info I have found is that disc 0-10 increases gain and disc 21 and above increases gain.
My questions are as follows:
1. are 0-10 and 21-80 the only disc settings where gain increase takes place. Especially 21-80, as it s

Mr. Dankowski,
Although this is a dedicated Fisher site, there are many users here that own Teknetics models. Fisher & Tek are the same company.
On your forum there is a much better (less censored) flow of information. Perhaps other users that would like a Teknetics forum could post their request within this post and you might consider this request.
Thank you
