There is still a market for simple, old-school analog detectors. I believe Fisher could have sold more CZ3Ds had they been selective about components and equaled the performance of the early 1021 units.
I recently put an old Tesoro Silver Sabre and ML Etrac out for our annual garage sale. The Tesoro sold in one hour. No one even looked at the Etrac.

There seems to be a strong market for used top-of-the-line Minelab detectors and older analog models that sell near $100. But the "midrange" detectors, of which the F75 sits today, are heavily discounted.

Maybe June is a little too late to sell… April might be better. Dunno -
I have a used Etrac with a rebuilt rechargeable battery pack (12+ hr run time) that I no longer need. I think I’ll wait until next Spring to sell that one.

Interesting history on this coin. For sitting 19 years that’s an average annualized 4.9% rate of return.
"Not counting the two specimens in the U.S. National Numismatic Collection at the Smithsonian, others may exist. However, they either have yet to be uncovered or their current holders choose not to disclose that they have them, for fear of having to give them up without compensation,

Tom, will Gen-2 likely be software upgradeable on the existing NOX platform or is it likely to be a new hardware platform?

The new F2 iron bias appears to be more than just an expansion of the iron bias range. The detector seems to behave differently as if new algorit

New detector platforms need to be software upgradeable, like cell phones and computers, because that is what they are. I’ll never buy a new detector that requires a hardware upgrade to gain a feature set that should be software enabled. I wonder how many upgrades the NOX will eventually get before that hardware is wrung out?

I wonder what metal detector companies are in financial trouble. Seems that Covid provided a rare opportunity to spend a little more time on our hobby given that so much else was closed down. The economy is clearly improving and with more money being spent, metal detector companies need to take advantage and offer some fresh product.

These nasty viruses randomly come from all over the world. Bacteria based pandemics too. Remember the "Connecticut" Lyme disease? That’s how my Chinese buddy calls it.

Spot on Dic. Why read Bloomberg, the Atlantic, Fox Business or the WSJ when you have Breitbart or Alex Jones to tell you what to believe?

I just terminated the test as I’m going to work now and won’t return home for another 15 hours.
So after leaving the detector ‘on’ overnight (total time = 12.5 hr) the battery gage dropped to two bars and the battery voltage measured 10.03 V.
