I don't know if I'm brand loyal,But out of all the Detectors I have tried through the years the only 2 I really love and not just liked are the E-trac and CZ-3D. I don't see myself Detecting with out one of these Detectors.

I'm shocked! I thought they would have lived off the E-trac for another year or two? It is such an awesome machine. Come on Fisher know it's your turn! If you can come out with an updated CZ-3D we will be dancing in the streets!

I had the stock 10'' coil that came with the machine. It kind of ticked me off when the offered the 11'' DD coil free with the machine as a summer special when it came out. I thought it was not fare for us guys who just bought the machine a month earlier had to pay full price. That was one more reason I sold it. I currently use an E-Trac and a Tom tuned CZ-3D. Both are good at

How do you like your M6? Is it good at handling steel bottle caps? I had an Omega for a while and did not care for it as it loved waded up foil and bottle caps as it gave them both high tones. I sold it before the 11'' DD came out so maybe that helped because the depth in my area was also lacking.

Hey Daniel I'm just curious,How does the Nautilus IIba handle your hot ground? I think you had one at one time? You think it could hit that 8'' Quarter with the 10'' coil? Thanks.

Dan as always you are a wealth of information and a credit to this forum! I think the newer Wilson unit's you are referring to are the Northstar and Coinselect as I agree they do look cheap and plasticly. I think Mr. Wilson is still alive and well in southbend,Indiana? I talked to him once over the phone a few years back. A real nice guy.

As far as an I.D. Machine hands down the E-trac. And for me non metered The Nautilus IIba. I loved the dual tones on it and it has one of the best deep target tones in the business. I wish it was a little lighter though. I am still kicking around getting another one. Maybe since I have other detectors now my shoulder can handle swinging it once in a while with the 8'' coil. Another one

I should have kept mine along with my 1021,But like a fool I traded them in on an F-75 years ago. The F-75 wasn't for me so I tried to get them back a week later and both were long gone. Oh well live and learn.

Alot of people don't beleive me when I tell them this ,But I was hunting and old isolated picnic grove with hardly any trash and the coins that were left were deep. I was using my original CZ-3D 1021 that I bought new and a sunray 12.5'' coil that had just came out. I got a soft high tone that would not pinpoint that kept bouncing back and forth from High coin to zinc. High tone. I

Hey,Aaron do think the Au21x caused you to find the gold rings? And if so how different was the reading from other pull tabs? I know their is no perfect detector for finding gold or we would all have one,But if you could cut down the odds it would be nice even though I mostly hunt old coins.

The E-trac as all Explorer's doesn't air test well. But one thnig I noticed is how calm the E-trac was during the air test and chaterry the XP-Deus was. But on the in ground targets it settled down. It's a nice machine no doubt. I just don't have 1800.00 to toss out there to find out.

I agree with the weight of minelabs even though with the E=trac I use the X-8 Sunray coil 80%of the time. This really helps as it less than 1 pound and almost as hot as the pro and a lot better separatoin in the trash. The funny thing though is I can swing a CZ analog with the housing on the shaft with out any problems. Maybe my body is more use to that set-up as I have swung CZ's longer than

It seems like minelab is the only one who can make a DD coil the doesn't love steel bottle caps. They may be heavy,But they are damn good machines!

Sorry Tom as I said I would not sell this unit,But something has come up. I bought this machine off a person who used it maybe twice at the most. I sent it to Tom he calibrated it and now it will hit a clad dime at 12.2 with the sens. at 4.8, 0 disc volume 5. I took the machine out about 3 times to hunted out spots and found 2 mercs. They were not super deep 7'' ,But sang out loud and c

I hate to seem like an E-trac flag waver every time I post. But it has to be the best detector bar none at ignoring steel bottle caps that I have ever used. I have found many a silver coin in the same hole as one got the coin signal dug out the coin waved the coil back over the hole and not a peep but could see the edge of a steel bottle cap which was confirmed with my pinpointer. Believe me whe

Bart is a good guy though and an E-trac lover. If he says it is a good machine then most likely is. But that is a nice chunk of change so you need to research it like any other investment. One thing you have to admit though,That is one cool looking machine!

I'm also very intrested as is my bad right shoulder. If it could just come close to the E-trac in my area it would be worth a look for its light weight and cordless phones. Don't get me wrong I love the E-trac as I stated before,It just seems like everybody and there brother in my area has one! That is one reason why I still love the CZ-3D as every one around here calls it an "OLD&

I never had an AT-PRO,But would like to try one someday. As far as the E-trac it is good in iron trash with the smaller x-8 coil once you learn the machine and how to work the iron nulls as they call it. As long as it is not loaded with them like an old home site. One of the best hunting in iron trash with the Explorer/E-trac is Bryce,IL. on the Findmall Explorer Forum. As a matter of fact he jus
