I agree with therover 61. I use to have and use every coil made for CZ's and finally just stuck with the 8'' coil as good for most my CZ hunting situations. Besides I have an E-trac with the x-5 and x-8 to cover all my hunting needs. I think the smaller coils with the E-trac give more of an edge than the extra CZ coils.

Deep turf silver hunting E-trac stock coil. Semi trash X-8 coil, Heavy trash X-5 coil. If I find a spot with deep coins I go back with the CZ-3D see if I can find any the E-trac maybe missed. I also like the CZ-3D for hunting old picnic groves out in the woods as the terain can be rough and the CZ's are built like mini little tanks!

Hey Dan, just curious to what is your deepest coin in your test garden and what detectors could hit as I know you have had your share of deep seekers like the Tejon.

I totally agree with you on the E-tracs I love mine also. Don't get me wrong I love CZ's and always have,But the E-trac is awesome in iron trash. I love the way it picks coins out of nails. It seems to really excel at it with the sunray x-8 coil. That is my all around favorite E-trac coil.

I know what you mean Dan. I love my E-trac and CZ-3D,But must admit to thinking about getting a new Golden myself with the new 4 tone I.D. as I must have some type of tone I.D. on all my detectors. And it would be nice to give my shoulder a break from time to time at 2.2 pounds, one 9 volt battery and a lifetime warranty how can you go wrong?

Be sure and let us know if you dig any deepie's! I took mine out today got my first silver of the year. A merc. no big deal ,But it was only about 7'' deep in a spot I hit twice with my E-trac and some how missed? This wi

I'm not sure as I deleted the e-mail, But I think he said the serial # was 10210662? Once again not 100% ,But that number sticks in my head for some reason. The funny thing is I can't rememeber what I had for breakfast,But I can remember that, LOL.

It was a 1021,I know because I e-mailed him and asked for the serial number and told him where it was located as he said he was selling it for a friend who was now in a nursing home. I don't know if the story is true ,But that is what he said. It must have been because he didn't even mention the fact it was a los banos machine. I must admit I put in a 400.00 bid but once it went past th

I agree ,Mike Scott will do all he can. He helped me out with one of my CZ-3D's ,And even sent me his CZ-3D to use in the meantime and said if I liked his I could keep it and he would keep mine if I wanted to! He is one of the good guys!

I heard a rumer Nautilus is coming out with a new lighter weight machine? Has anyone else heard this? If this is true I might have to have one as long as they keep those great dual modulated tones! The only draw back I had was with the weight and balance. Other than that it worked awesome in my ground! I had a IIba that I fund a 12'' Indian head cent with a 8'' coil! It had th

Don't be scared if it is not a 1021 as long as it has a decent air test most other problems Tom can fix if needed. I have a First Texas CZ-3D myself and had Tom recalibrate it and now it is an awesome machine!
