Thanks for all the Racer input but how about a comparison to the 1270 and/or Coinstrike. Is there a real gain in anything if I go Racer to T2 other than the costs ?My thought is the 1270 goes very deep and is one of Fisher Labs last great machines. The Coinstrike also goes deep and I do like the digital numbering system. Any negative numbers are iron and positive numbers can be good targets depen

Was at my local MD dealer this weekend and took a look at the new Racer 2 as well as the Racer 1. They both appear to be nice machines and well built. I also looked at the Teknetics T2 and was wondering if I was missing something. It seems everyone is dumping the Racer 1 on Ebay to include dealers and private party owners. Was really considering the T2 but it seems my 1270 and Coinstrike can stil

Thanks everyone your your replies. I know its a different kind of detector but I like it. Was thinking about letting her go for a new T2/F75 after reading negative reports. However, many folks have loved this machine and have very good things to say about it. I know its not NASA Toms favorite machine. He rates it very low for some reason. I just don't like the new so called Fishers. My opini

My newly acquired Coin Strike sounds off loud and clear on my test garden. Getting used to the VDI numbers.....was wondering if anyone could share settings for relic hunting? My threshold is set at -15 and the machine operates very quiet and smooth. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Just purchased a cherry unit and was wondering what type of results you have had with it. It seems to have had a rocky start in life by the engineer Fisher hired to design it. Looking back at Fisher ads shows it listing for 1095.00, more than a CZ70 ! It ids my coins correctly. If I can figure out where it id's on buttons and bullets it may turn out to be a good machine.

I'm actually trying to thin my herd of detectors and make some space.I figure this machine could really be a do it all machine. Not sure about having to charge 3 components to make the thing work......
Thanks for all the input.....

I am thinking about purchasing a new WS4 package Deuss. I will have to trade in my F75 to make the deal happen. I am looking to use it for Civil War relic hunting with an occasional coin hunt. I have a CZ3D for coin hunting. I was wondering if you folks could help me with any information (good or bad) having used both machines. Any info would be appreciated......

I also hunt Civil War relics. Most minie balls are 6 to 12 inches deep. However, I have gotten minie balls where you could kick away the leaves and it is laying on top of the ground....go figure.

Did the original Fisher ever sell a (environmental) control box cover for the CZ3D ? If so, does anybody know where I can purchase one ?
