Nice videos. I especially like the ones where we can hear the
detector signal. They let us understand your nice technique for
sorting through the small pinches of dirt until you find the nugget.
Very clever!

Thanks, Keith. I guess I'll only know after I get my Racer and try it out.
I do notice that I tend to sweep my detector closer to my feet than
some people do. They sweep it way out in front of them. Maybe
my "near-sweep" techniques will make the Racer long enough
for me. If not, I'll see if Makro/Nokta can make a longer pole
available, or I'll see if I can drill

Might this difference be largely caused by the fact that the dime in the
test garden is typically placed parallel to the ground, while the
dime in the wild is seldom so cooperative and therefore presents the
detector with a much smaller surface to detect?

If you find detecting to be good therapy (as I do), you need to
move to a warm weather climate. Otherwise, you'll have to go
several months at a time without your therapy. Not good!

Maybe after the Makro Racers actually hit the US supply channels and are
in the hands of larger numbers of users, there will be an effect on the supply
of used CoRes you see. But that hasn't quite happened yet. Give it at least
a month, maybe two. And even then, I don't know how many CoRe users
will see the need to get rid of it to get the Racer instead.
