The Nox has proven it was worthy of it's hyped entrance, it's sad your advert is still poking fun at it, talk about feeding off the crumbs from the big boys table lol

The hyped entrance of the Nox stated it would "Obselete" all single frequency detectors which it clearly did not. It's a good detector for the price and performance but the best? Harldly. By your statement Ghound it's ok for a company to tell the whole world the rest of the manufacturers detectors are obselete and no good and not produce that fact.

I detect for low to mid conductors in mineralised soil, so in my case it did obsolete all other single freq machines, especially in its price range.

Dear ghound, I have been reading your posts for quite a while now and I see that every time our company's or products' names are mentioned, you get into this ''insulting'' mode. Now, you may not like our company or our products or simple ''me'' who is coming up with those ads …or our devices simply may not be serving your needs and we would only respect that! But using phrases such as’’ feeding off the crumbs from the big boys table’’ is not stating an opinion but rather an insult. We are not feeding off of anybody, we are simply offering choices! This is not a monopoly...competition will only benefit the end users at the end. We have never claimed that we are the biggest …but guess what? We are the fastest growing company in the industry right now… and we are currently focusing on being ‘’great’’ instead of being ‘’big’’. As long as we have customers who can understand and appreciate the hard work and effort behind our company, we are happy and the rest will come naturally! My dad (RIP) taught me very precious values and one of them was ''not to look down upon anybody''. I will end my case here with a quote: ''With only 30,000 won (about $27 USD), Lee Byung-chull started Samsung on March 1 in 1938, as a trading company based in Taegu, Korea.'' ...
Thank you!!!

Well, Minelab has raised the bar. Competition from companies like Makro/Nokta had an influence. The Equinox for the cost is a good detector.

Looking forward to the competition. We the customers can only benefit.

In my opinion the Impact, Kruzer detectors are very good. Just be careful about putting the same old detector in a new box. We have a few companies that have been doing that for years.

Not only do you make wonderful detectors that work great they are also fun to use. thumbs down

We've got too many involved in brand worship and cults of "good ole boy clubs of the same detector." Their posts are like kudzu in the South, covering forums.

Innovation and customer involvement, along with some of the best customer service in the industry, is why I like Makro/Nokta. They aren't the only units I have but they are the most used!

Sad? How about business like? Part of running a successful business make your products and company more attractive by pointing out the short comings of your competitor. That is a common business practice.

I love the Nox, However, I love the Impact too. Both machines show fantastic innovative designs. Is one company better than the other? Who cares as long as we are getting the best possible products at the best possible price, from both.

NOTICE, I GLARINGLY left out other manufacturers, specifically because they failed MISERABLY to bring anything substantial to the table with-in the last 10 plus years!

You came out of nowhere and lit the detector world on fire with your detectors.

Yes, I have an Equinox, a Kruzer & a Lobo ST. All nice detectors.

Thank for what you are doing and look forward to what's coming.

You need to give Garrett some credit for the AT series...solid performance in a waterproof package at a great price point.

I don't know if I would call that substantial. However, I will defer in this instance.

Don’t get me wrong, Nokta/Makro is a very impreesive company...and I enjoy their advertising as well.
Re: IN CASE ANY OF OUR AMERICAN FRIENDS ARE UP AT THAT TIME:-)

I don't have any dislike of you personally, but struggle to give credit to any company that advertises in such a way.
The Kruzer was pushed out with a dig at the Nox, and the same again this time around , i can understand the massive orders Minelab created with the Nox probably affected smaller manufactures, but if your confident your products are as good or better then surely you should be selling them on their own merits, rather than shooting cheap shots at the only company that's giving us new innovative coin/relic detectors to enjoy, but that's just my view.
Hopefully you have a top contender using new tech to show at Detectival as ML did last year, we'll all be winners if you do.

Re: IN CASE ANY OF OUR AMERICAN FRIENDS ARE UP AT THAT TIME:-)

I don't see how the Kruzer was pushed out, it's built light years better, has a much larger coil selection and it's performance is on par with the Nox in a lot of different soil conditions. The Nox was released with no coil selection, shafts that wobbled on a lot of machines and feels cheaply made. If Makro hurried it out because minelab was releasing the Nox then they are way better at design and construction in a short time then minelab. I chose to keep the Kruzer over the Nox 800 because in my soil which is highly mineralized and full of alkali it handled it better and was deeper. Even though it is only selectable single frequency, they were able to make it work in a wide variety of soils and still make it deep and separate with the best of them. That and they offer a concentric coil which avoids a lot of bottlecaps and the depth guage and ID is better. In the end if they hurried it out to beat minelab which I doubt because they have a history of releasing new detectors every year.
Dilek, your company is top notch and Ghound is not worth your time.

MMMmmmm.... an OK detector (average depth with good audio and unmasking abilities), priced about the same as an EQ600, and sometimes it's waterproof smiling smiley

I can appreciate a good mud slinging ad campaign. Some of them are hilarious when the companies really get cracking...not just in detectors but in everything.

I'm a big boy...advertising words don't hurt my feelings and make me butt hurt like the Minelab thing did last year to a lot of people.

Competition is always a good thing for the consumer.

The truth is, there are just as many fan boys on this forum of the Makro/Nokta line as there are of the Minelab stuff. It's easy to see where the tents are pitched and who is in the camps. What I don't understand is why the people want to make a war out of it. As if you have to be FOR one and AGAINST the other. That's the part I don't understand. Everybody has their favorite machine for one reason or the other but I've never limited or restricted myself to just being a "die hard" one brand guy. I don't want to be at war with any of you just because I use one brand and you use the other.

I have both a Multi Kruzer and Equinox. I've been comparing the heck out of them PERFORMANCE wise and truthfully, I see why people like each of them and may pick one over the other. I prefer to keep both...because for me, they are as different as east is to west and therefore cover a WHOLE lot of anything I wanna get into, and cut my inventory to just 2 machines. I do use the Equinox for most all applications though and could just as easily cover most all my applications with just it.

I hope the Nokta/Makro folks knock it out of the park this weekend.

Conceptually it was a good package, execution left a lot to be desired. But yes I agree, the ones that were really paying attention to the market caught the AT buss and came out with much more innovative products. A flame to the fire, yes perhaps.
