my first saltwater rings (gold and silver)
August 29, 2011 01:13AM
after about a month and ten days of hunting down here, today i have found my first gold and my first silver rings!!!!!! i hunted a beach that had obviously been changed by the hurricane(for the better). hunted another nearby beach saturday night and it had sand added to it instead of removed, did not do well there. i needed a boost because i was beginning to think i was doing something wrong. also found 8 silver? bangles and dug each one of them individually over about a 100x200ft area. also got the normal clad and pulltabs. feeling better, heres the pics.......

Seeker...Good Work! You stated that the beach had been changed for the better where you are. Did you have any cuts? deep trough? steep slope? and what county on the coast were you? Keep it up!

WTG! Chuck!

Its hard to believe someone was foolish enough to wear those bangles out there, let alone gold. BTW...what did big thin silver things sound like and what machine you using?
Great pics, thanks!

bob..............had a steeper slope than normal and the dropoff from towel line to slope had been removed. no cuts, no trough. i am in brevard county. close to you if i remember correctly.

Aaron............the bangles sounded like gold(should have said gold? not silver) or maybe bottle caps, i dont know if there silver, gold or junk. they look very good and there kinda heavy but i need to check them. using the excal with the 10 inch coil. (i also have the 8 inch)

chuck.
