Got a question for ya Tom,

Why do some detectors handle wet iron better than others? Can the reactance/skin effect actually oppose current flow?

My experience using various detectors has the results so "all over the map" that I can't make heads or tails of this effect!!

Simple question but I bet the answer ain't!

There are 4 primary areas in physics as to how to measure/ID iron w/utilization of EM. Sparing the lengthy details, with wet/saturated iron, 2 of the 4 areas present a altered signature. NOW...... it's a matter of how the front-end electronics processes the signature as to HOW the unit will ID the Fe. ((( Short, possibly insufficient answer ))).
good enuff! thanks Tom! N/T
