Can someone explain.......

PRECISELY why it is that a DD coil has so much more trouble with steel bottle caps (crown caps) than a concentric coil does?

Heres another all the Explorers and Sov's I used over the years didn't and therin may be the answer...Not going to mention the others including one concentric but thanks for asking the question D&P......

That's in the "makeup" of the detectors themselves though Dan (the Explorers, Etracs & Sovereigns).----What I was asking about was the two types of coils (DD's & concentrics) and the performance (or lack of) in "handling" crown caps & why the DD's has more trouble in the I.D.ing of steel b.c.'s.----------Del
