This has nothing to do with performance---but..........

on the new Tek G2+----which would you guys rather have----the green camo---or---the plain black??------Call it a poll (of sorts) if you'd like!

At first I didn't like the Camo on the F19 but seeing as how it didn't come in black and I liked the pink even less, I ended up buying the green Camo F19. After a short while I began to like it and actually like it better than the black.

I have one....I'd call it a mild camo treatment and it comes with black rods...looks and works great, glad they shipped with the black rods...

the stock coil has the same camo treatment but I've been using the (white) 5x10...

you must dress pretty 'snappy' Dell....trying to color coordinate?

Nah--actually I'm pretty "drab"! ------I had my dealer order me a G2+ and he had to order it from the FT factory as his distributor didn't have them in (yet).----We ordered a G2+ green camo with 11" coil cover.----When it showed up, it was a black G2+ without a coil cover for it.-----I guess they know what I want more than I do. lol-----It checks out & works great--no problem there!------According to my scales (that I consider accurate)---it weighs 5 oz. more than the F-19--that's with both detectors mounted with the 11" coil & batteries--everything "even steven".----I guess the difference in weight is in the grip but I wouldn't have guessed there would be that much difference.-----Performance wise, the two are identical as far as I can tell.--------Del canslawhero Wrote:

If you have a F19 the G2+ does nothing different except cost more...

the G2+ board says F19..

I would rather have a black one than a Camo..

after awhile the camo chips off the plastic...especially on the coil...

and On the Coil I like the F19 5x10 better than the G2 Biaxial..

the F19 with 5x10 is about the only coil you need and it comes stock with it...

Ive pulled buttons and relics out of thick iron with the 5x10 for some reason the 5" was not hearing..

the 5x10 is bad dirt is as deep as the biaxial ..actually I find it deeper..

Yeah, I think you're probably right on your first sentence Keith.----Your paying more--probably because of the 11" coil---AND ---Tek name---AND grip! ----They do swing a (little) "different" (grip style).-----As far as performance---it's been dead even (apples for apples) in my shop & large yard/test garden area with what little I've used it so far (compared to the F-19).------As to coils---in my ground (and my ground is pretty mineralized)--the 11" gets about 1" depth increase over the 5X10.-----I do like that 5X10--it's a sweet little coil.-------In any case---when you have a wife that detects also---ya gotta have two of everything!----You know the old saying---"ain't mamma happy---ain't NOBODY happy"!--------Sooo, we have a green camo F-19 AND a black G2+.-----Can't go wrong with that deal can ya?? -----We like 'em both!-----------Del
