I called KellyCo and pre-ordered the new Fisher Albatross. They were happy to take my $$$ and they will notify me when it's ready to ship. I asked what was new about it and they said it comes with a coffee mug holder. I am so stoked!

I am currently a Deus user but have hunted with other detectors (V3i, CZ3d, AT Pro, etc). I bought a Blisstool V3 and set about learning how to detect a dime at 12" with the 11 inch coil. After I familiarized myself with its operation, I was shocked at how clearly the Bliss detected the dime at 12 inches. I tried it at different parks around the city as I am primarily a park hunter and the B

It's hard to organize a club for an activity that attracts so many people who want to be left alone LOL!
We have a club with about 100 members. We collect no fees and we have no structure. My friend does all the heavy lifting and I primarily lend psychological support. We meet once a month alternating hunts and straight out meetings. When we happen to run into money, we put it back into t

If you save for a Deus...
Don't give up on it until you've used it for at least a year. I've had mine going on 3 years now and I continue to find new and exciting ways to hunt with it.

I've often joked that I AM the bad guy at the park, but I recognize the topic here is very serious. I too think of my 31" t-handle digger as a weapon of self-defense, to that end, every time I am out on a hunt I try to remember to swing it 20 or 30 times. Not on a overtly menacing way, but just so that I am comfortable with swinging it fast and with some degree of control. I know we all

I went to that other forum to read about the latest about the Blisstool only to find that the Blisstool forum is gone. Anyone here know what happened?

Only 10 responses??!! The post is titled "looking for some opinions" and he only gets 10 responses. Wow! He should have said something like "I think the (insert name of detector here) is the best detector", he would have gotten 100 opinions then LOL!

For one, just because I can swing a 6 pound detector doesn't mean I have to if there are alternatives.
For another, whether or not you will dig bottle caps, or square nails, or Jimmy Hoffa, has more to do with experience than with your machine. When I first began detecting with the AT Pro, I dug a ton of bottle caps, until I learned the thing and then I only dug bottle caps when I wanted.

What a great question.
Personally, I would only be interested on such a device if the price did not increase and the range of the thing did not decrease. As it is, given that the holes I dig are usually 7 inches in diameter or less, it is no big task for me to simply scoop up all the metal targets in the hole and separate them visually once they are out. I can only think of a few times when I

I felt that the upgrade from 2.0 to 3.x did add substantial performance to the Deus. Just the increase in speed was enough of an improvement for me. If they can do it again from 3.x to 4 I can't imagine how much more powerful the Deus will be. I for one will welcome more depth and the ability to ID iron at larger depths. As for the smaller coil, well, I think of that as the proverbial icing

What I am excited about is the fact that this is the second company to make a collapsible and wireless detector. I can only hope that more companies will follow XP and create their own collapsible and wireless detectors.

I for one, am glad this guy came to this forum so we could see his true nature. It was amazing to me that even after users of the Blisstool were saying that the detector worked well for them, he continued on the same vein. I feel sad for his customers; I wonder if he is as dismissive of them as he was of the users here.
I imagine we've seen the last of him; at least with that username.

Yep, it's says so in the conclusions segment of the report:

I read this at a different forum and I really want to believe it.
"Please note that when you lower all settings of metal detector BLISSTOOL LTC64X, for example: GAIN = MIN, THRESHOLD = MIN, or close to these settings, ITS DEPTH OF DETECTION IS EQUAL TO THE DEPTH OF DETECTION OF TYPICAL HIGH-END DETECTOR FROM ANOTHER BRAND..." (emphasis mine)
Mind you, I am buying a Blisstool as s

No 3 ringers around here but at my deep silver park, I can hit silver dimes at 9 inches on real, live hunts. For the longest time (around 2.5 years) I hunted at 12KHz and 18KHz with 90 sensitivity, GB 85 and TX3. About 6 months ago I decided to learn to hunt with the 4KHZ and haven't looked back since. This morning, for the first time ever, I upped my gain to 95 and wow! I pulled targets (no

Igor,
Does the Signum MFT 7272M come with a stock coil? I know you offer a number of different coils but does the Signum come standard with one particular coil?
Thank you.

Are there plans to add a tone volume feature to the V3 to allow us to gauge the depth of the target? This would allow me to hunt OLD trashy city parks where the good targets are deeper than the trash.

tn,
I took V3 for a spin this afternoon. The Deus is noticeably faster and it goes deeper. Iron handling seems much better. Try full tones, I really like it!

Not trying a Deus because it doesn't id a coin past 7 inches is a little crazy. I've talked to my friends who use the Etrac and they tell me that the Etrac has the same problem.
In my soil, the Deus will ID a coin accurately up to 6-7 inches, Paramount to this is an accurate GB setting. After 7 inches, the VDI pretty much goes away but the tone is still superb. As I hunt the deep stu

Most erudite.
I tell my friends and anyone else who cares to listen that if you are afraid to dig a deep hole, you will miss on some very cool stuff.
Still, one thing still vexes me and that is small pieces of aluminum foil which once they reach a relative deep level in the dirt, they can sound like a good target. I have applied much sound analysis and I think I may have the answer but I am

I find that the Deus is very accurate with the Visual ID up to 6 inches of depth. Rarely do I get a coin at that depth that id's wrong. From 6 inches to 7 inches I will get an ID but it may be a bit off, say, a silver dime reading like a copper cent.
After 7 inches I can only hunt by sound.
Now, the ground where I excel at with the Deus is usually forbidden territory to other machines.
